cat spraying sofa by
[email protected]
How can I convince my (neutered) 15 yar old cat to stop spraying and
pishing on the sofa? We've got a Feliway diffuser, we've sprayed with
Feliway, we've washed the cushions, we clean the spots with Dumb Cat, but
he won't stop. He's smelling up the house.

Will someone please remind me... (and Ming update) by
Jean B.
What is it that folks here have gotten to calm anxious cats?
Mingy was back at the Vet's today. Still no physical reason
discerned for his urinating outside the box. The Vet asked
where he peed. I said mostly in the bay window.... She
seemed to think it was because of cats outside. Then I...

Cat jealous of kittens - nightmare! by
[email protected]
Our Maine Coon cat is ferociously jealous of her two remaining kittens
- she's spending all her time outside & when she does come in it's
only to eat & hiss/growl/chase at the kittens.
She's coming up two-years old & came straight to us from Breeder. We
had no other pets at the time and one...

A couple behavioral problems... by
RPSinha
Would like the opinion of you more experienced folks on a couple
issues:
(1) When I started looking after this 10 month old cat, she used to
come in from outside in the evening (5PM-7PM?), have dinner, go to bed,
want to eat around 5AM, go out, and then goof around all day in the
yards. For each...

Cat and Dog honored for saving masters!
When Debbie Parkhurst choked on a piece of apple at her Maryland home,
her dog jumped in, landing hard on her chest and forcing the morsel to
pop out of her throat. When the Keesling family of Indiana was about
to be overcome by carbon monoxide, their cat...

SHOULD I TAKE HIM TO A VET? by
u
Many of the people in these usenet pets groups work in Veterinarian
Clinics, which makes them biased.
In my city of Tucson, Arizona it is very difficult to find a Vet that
will agree to reduced cost services, or even payment plans to low
income pet owners, regardless of the circumstances. Their...

Archer is back at the vet! : by
CatNipped[_2_]
Last night Archer ran up the side of the tall cat tree before DH or I could
stop him. When he reached the top he, in his usual klutzy style,
overbalanced and fell to the floor with his legs flailing. He immediately
started limping again. I checked him over and I don't *think* he broke his...

Interesting all these low life vet techs, vets, and other

to the well being of animals. Instead they offer their feeble grade

Mulch and dangers to cats by
[email protected]
I just built a cat enclosure for my two cats and I want to put pine
mulch down as the flooring. Will the pine bark mulch harm them in
any
way? If it is dangerous, what else would be better for them?
(I don't want to have to keep up with grass inside the enclosure.)
Thanks!
