A New Cat by
jmcquown[_2_]
No, not me! Persia wouldn't tolerate such a thing. He's named her
'Raisin'. She's a black female and he's been feeding it on his back porch.
He named her. Uh oh! You are now owned by a cat! And then, yep, he opened
the door, let her inside and fed her. Double Uh Oh wink She's been to...

Oh this is grand by
Mark Edwards
Know one of the best ways to worry a cat?
Wake up to a "drip, drip, drip" and discover your pillow has becomw
oveeflow from your surgical dressing. Apparently this boil is a productive
one and the drain is effective. I am in "observation" right now.
Little Boy and Sister are aghast. Little Feet...

Political upheaval by
Yowie
Shadowcat was named Shadow cat for two reasons: first of all, a then three
year old boy thought it woudl be *hilarious* to name a white cat "Shadow".
Second, it suited her, at least, it suited her more than "Cupboard cat"
which is where she lived most of the time. She seemed very threatened by...

Don't die of shock... by
Kajikit[_2_]
My catslaves cards are done and in the mail... at least the first
batch of them - I only had one book of stamps so I've got to take the
rest of them to the postoffice. 20-odd US-destined cards are in the
mail already, and the rest will follow shortly. I wasn't actually as
organised as it sounds -...

Miranda is 4! by
Marina
It's Mir's purrday today (Sunday). I can't believe my little baby girl
is four years old already. She just came in for a bite of breakfast
after sitting out in the enclosure and staring into the bushes outside
the garden wall. She's been doing this for days now. I don't know what
she's watching...

(Sort of urgent) "Stink free"? by
[email protected]
Smudge peed in my car! It's a long story, but I do not know where the
actual urine stain is. So I had to find a place that sold blacklights,
so I could find the stain, and apply the Nature's Miracle.
I found a blacklight at a pet store, but it was sold only in a package
with some odor-remover...

Kittens? by
Jofirey
I've been feeling sad and gloomy for nearly a week now. I need to see
or hear about kittens.
I can't go get a kitten. We are at our quota.
I'm not even hoping to get cheered up. Only maybe a bit hopeful that
at some time I won't feel so sad. Or to know that somewhere, someone
isn't feeling...

Cats: 2, lowly slave: 0 by
Bridget[_5_]
I woke up a short bit ago finding that my feet had no place to go in the
bed. I wrangled and moved around trying to find a spot I could place them.
No go. The Stripey Thing and Toby and joined forces. About a foot from the
end of the bed the two were laying lengthwise at a diagonal, stretched...

Christy (kili) ISN'T DEAD by
jmcquown[_2_]
Good lord, stop the madness!
I haven't been able to speak with her husband, he's probably gone home to
get some sleep. And she can't receive phone calls since she can't speak.
The prognosis is awful but she's not dead yet so stop saying she is!

White Food Syndrome by
jmcquown[_2_]
From a prior weather post, John F. Eldredge wrote:
Nashville, Tennessee had mild weather up until a couple of weeks ago, at
which point it abruptly turned colder. Today we are having mixed drizzle
and snow flurries, with a current temperature of 37 degrees Fahrenheit,
and perhaps half an...

Got that new hole in the head I needed by
Mark Edwards
After three days of near round the clock (painful) sleeping, I went back
to the doctor. We agreed I need a new hole in my head (lance & drain the
boil).
I am home with a big white dressing on the back of my head, and Sister
looks alarmed. Maybe she's afraid they've removed her mind-control...

Did you See This? LOLcat from 1905? by
jmcquown[_2_]
"Found by Tracy Angulo in a Seattle antique store. Tracy tells us that the
photograph is from 1905, which would make this officially the oldest cat
picture with a caption, AKA lolcat, that we've seen.
The differences are clear. Proper grammar and a more formal tone was in
vogue back then. But...

OT Friend in need by

A friend of mine is going through some major problems right now. She needs
purrs, prayers, and could use financial assistance. I'd really like to get
her some Christmas (season's greeting) cards as well. If you find it in
your heart to help her, please contact me. My email is...

Miss Lily Whiskers is in a most excellent mood. :) by
[email protected]
Following the integration of Tara-Cat into the Miles Clowder, it now
means that I have my study back instead of being occupied by Tara.
After cleaning it today, the door is open and everyone can wander in
and out. Miss Lily Whiskers is especially happy. She has been able to
resume her favourite...

He got it for *me* by

I was feeling not so hungry so I grabbed some sliced cheddar from the
fridge. Sister was right there. So I gave her a small piece.
A little later, Brother came by, but let Sister steal his piece. Little
Boy also came over and growled as Sister tried to steal his cheese.
Sister looked up at me,...

Toxic plant causes woman's cat's death peril by
Bobcat
It happens all the time. People with no knowledge of plants that are
toxic to cats allow their kitty(s) to get sick from a toxic houseplant
- or to lose their kitty. A few days a man booked to remove the leaves
from our eavestroughs didn't show up on the appointed day, and didn't
phone. Two days...

Schizophrenic Yogi enlightens cat! by
Mason H Chelmsford
my loyal cat is now
laying on the sofa trying to be close to to me. You know whats cool about my cat? He is
*enlightened* in much the same way as a person seeking religious
enlightenment from a yogi is. I am the cats Buddha! Dues to my extreme
love towards my feline companian, he has learned of the...
