SHE'S HOME! by
Helen Miles
Looking a bit scruffy and covered in cobwebs, it seems that she was
helping my next door but one neighbour, Owen, clear out his shed on
Sunday. He shut the door when he finished and forgot to check if she was
there because he thought he saw her come home.
I saw him on his way to work this morning,...

RIP Scaredycat by
Mogget
My beautiful Scaredycat died today.
She'd seemed much better in herself lately & had responded well to her
thyroid meds, but last night lost the use of her back leg. Took her to
the vet today and it was grim news - inflamed kidney, dehydration,
severe anaemia, cancer, some sort of infection,...

Got a newsletter from needlework shop that opened a month or so ago (they
have a web site, but there's not much there as of yet -
http://www.fancy-works.com/), and they are offering several classes. I
signed up for the following:

From island cats to city cats by
Marina
We're back! The cats are exhausted from the trip and have been sleeping
for hours (after they'd checked that everything was in its place here at
home). I'm pretty knackered myself, but here are some pictures to start
with. I'll write more about our time on the island after I've had some...

Island stories: Ashes by
Marina
I have 4200+ messages to catch up on; purrs to all in need. I'll post a
few pieces I wrote while out on the island:
The morning after I'd arrived at the island, I took Frank's ashes and
set ut for the rosebush where I'd scattered Nikki's ashes last summer.
Frank had followed me on that trek,...

Tales from the Mouser: Island Shore Leave Part V by
Mischief
I went up to my parents house this weekend to celebrate our summer
birthdays and to see my new baby niece, Jocelyn who was born in May.
My parents have shown the usual concern about my weight but so far are
being nice about it. *crosses fingers*
Mom said she didn't need my help in the kitchen,...

Gertie ferret is coming home tomorrow! by
Helen Miles
Well, it seems little Miss stray ferret is a girl of about 3 months old.
I went to the vets this evening to drop off some forms, and check on the
status of the stray ferret.
She was checked by the vet, she is in perfect health apart from being in
season, and she is apparently terribly affectionate...

Surprise! Baby Eyes' skin is healed! by
Pat
I started giving her prednisone (5mg) once a day, on a hunch, and as of
today, the 4th day of treatment, her skin is completely healed. So I guess
it wasn't a flea allergy after all. I couldn't imagine that it was,
especially when it worsened right after Frontlining everyone.
So she's getting...

chases the water! He seems to like getting a light spray over him. memphis

Growing up Leopard by
[email protected]
Did anyone see this show last night on Animal Planet? This family runs
an animal sanctuary, which has mostly big cats that were rescued after
being kept as "seemed like a good idea at the time" pets. They inherited
a male-female pair of black leopards who had been abused (I missed the
beginning of...
