OT Too Hot In Seattle by
Kyla =^..^=`
Most of you are used to the hot weather, but not us up here...it's near 90
now and I'm melting and so are the cats. Time to go back into the bedroom
where the AC is.
Gonna wet down the critters with a cool washcloth too.

PIng Pam S by
Matthew[_3_]
Hay Pam I know you are watching the weather please don't worry this is
what Mike is going to learn what hurricane party weather is
This level of hurricane that is probably coming is no more than a Florida
thunderstorm. I am sure Mike room mates will introduce him to a Florida
tradition...

Pitiful girl by
Mark Edwards
The kittens are out and playing. I have to go in the back room to do a few
things.
When I come back out, Little Sister is cuddling Senyah, who is not usually
a target of the cats's affection.
Senyah said she just climbed up the couch and settled in.

Mike made it. OT more or less by
tanadashoes
Well, Mike made it to Orlando yesterday and was settled into his apartment
today. He discovered that his phone runs out of juice in 5-6 hours as he is
in what would be a roaming area, except that we changed our plan to a nation
wide non-roaming one. So he complains to me and I call Alltel and...

Job purr request by
Ann
There are a lot of issues where Peter is working right now. He has been
looking for another job. Right now he is waiting for a call back from a
place that is really interested in hiring him. He would be making more money
and have more overtime available.
The only down side is it would be a day...

Yahoo! At last! by
Jane
Well, it's finally happened. The background check has come through
(clean), and I have a tentative start date at my new job next Monday
the 18th. Whew. I'm SO tired of vacation and ready to get back to
work.
As for cat input, Princess Rita is a little bit peeved with me. I had
to hold her down...

Surrounded! by
Mark Edwards
I came home from the grocery store, and let the bitties out while I put
away the groceries.
I held out my treat - a small jar of herring in sour cream sauce, which I
dearly love but rarely buy - and sat down on the couch to enjoy it.
Suddenly, I am surrounded. Little Boy is on the top of the...

Update (sorta) on my rescue kitty by
Ginger-lyn[_2_]
DH came over to help me feed cats the other day, because I could barely
stand. Of course he got into a**hole mode before he left, but before
that, I had him hold her so I could get a good look and see what sex she
was.
Definitely female. Even weirder, her belly is shaved, and the spay scar...

We could use some job purrs by
Daniel Mahoney
Nancy's work situation has been deteriorating, and today's latest has made
her work environment such that I can't see how she can stand to go to work
each day. Purrs that she can find a new, better tuna place fairly close to
home would be greatly appreciated.

A pair of lovely Sr. Citizen Ladies by
Charleen Welton
Both Flippy's Juliet and my Aggie Marble went to the vet on the same day for
what appeared to be the same problem. Juliet is getting nutrient care and
those blood cells are being loveingly watch. Aggie checked out fine except
that she does in fact have a UTI with some blood cells in the urine....

Update on Juliet by
Flippy[_4_]
Thank you to everyone who sent purrs for Juliet to feel better soon. I think
she is feeling a little better today. Certainly not straining to urinate
like she was yesterday. Also she didn't have an appetite and hadn't eaten
all day, so last night I gave her 2mg of Periactin. Within an hour it...

Report on Buffy the 'Garage Kitty' by
Gandalf
I received a phone call from Buffy's new human.
She took Buffy to see TED today.
All his physical exams cam back normal, except that he is dangerously
thin. The labs will come back on Friday, or Monday.
The vet said it's a good thing I had started feeding him when I did; he
might still have...

The (IMO) Best Bookstore In The World - by JANICE MUNDAY by
Flippy[_4_]
Since we have been chatting about bookstores, I dug out this message that
was posted by Janice Munday way back in 1999. Nobody can "emphasize" online
quite like Janice could, so I have cut & pasted the whole message, as she
wrote it.
Enjoy!
Purrs to all,
Flippy.

I miss my rescue 'garage kitty' by
Gandalf
I miss coming home from work to find him waiting for me to give him
scritches, and tummy rubs.
I miss going out to the garage every 20 or 30 minutes, to 'check on
him'. He was always so happy to see me.
Well really it was to give him more attention.
He was such a big sweetheart.

Home sweet home - LONG by
Marina
We're back home from the island. I wish I could say the trip went well,
but travelling with Caliban is never easy.
We almost didn't travel with Caliban at all. My sister was taking us
(me, the cats and my niece) to a port from which the bus to Helsinki
starts. She had never driven the boat to...

[OT] Foot, ankle, heel, toe by
Ginger-lyn[_2_]
Or whatever.
Last week after my PT appointment (a few days after, maybe?) my foot
started feeling like someone jabbed a railroad spike through the heel.
Yhat is *not* a pleasant feeling, I tell you. So I see my PT yesterday,
and she puts me in this boot contraption that felt pretty good last...

Three for TED by
wafflycat[_2_]
Took Waffles, Francis & Marble off to TED for their booster shots and annual
once-overs.
Saw a new TED at the practice. A lady TED.
Francis, scourge of TEDs since his unfortunate encounter with that darned
fool young male vet a few years ago, was putty in the new lady TED's hands.
Not a peep...

Lucky has new home! by
Gandalf
Yea! Lucky has gone to his new home!
I had put up notices over the weekend of 'cat for adoption', (pretty
much everywhere, even at work) figuring the chances were slim to none
that I would get a response.
I was wrong. On Monday I got a call at work. Someone had seen the
notice, with the picture...

Well yet again the idiots at my doctors office screwed up again. So no
sleep study tonight
I called to make sure what time to be in there tonight if I had to be there
at 8:30 or before. Now they confirmed everything yesterday afternoon 24
hours in advance. The girl tells me well ummm I...

[OT] Thunderbird is go! by
Yowie[_2_]
On Wednesday, Joel's PC contracted the "VirusRemover2008" virus - he
thinks it was via playing a flashgame, but can't be sure. I tried my
best, but it was very *very* infected. It had hijacked all outlets to
the internet, and would only connect to a particular page that would -
after paying...
