Humane Society Spay Day 2009 by
Kreisleriana[_2_]
I don't have to preach about spaying and neutering to this bunch. You all
know the benefits and the necessity. Here's a way to help others get this
necessary procedure done:

I think Stripy Thing wants to be 'Our' cat! by
Kajikit[_2_]
He's getting more and more confident every day... and he's decided
that he likes John now as well. So as well as coming running for me,
he comes to say hello to John too. :) I feed him at lunchtime every
day that I see him, and he comes running upstairs to get his
gooshyfood. And he's apparantly...

Different reactions by
Mark Edwards
Today is a day off. I decided to get in some MUCH needed banjo practice.
Still working on basic skills...
Little Feet ran and hid. Phaw! Music critic!
Dulce Mae, on the other hand, appears to be a banjo groupie, even though I
still haven't learned to chord without stopping. She rolls on the...

Mayhem's new perch by
Mischief[_2_]
Since the BF moved in....there are a ton of boxes around the
apartment. He's also a part time tailor so there are also lots of
fabric around too.
Well as he finally sorted through the boxes a large folded piece of
black velvet ended up being draped over one of these boxes. And the
otehr boxes...

Niece's pics of Mir and Caliban by
Marina
My niece has uploaded her pictures that she took when she visited today.
In the last ones they are watching the birdie outside the window. If you
look further, you will see pics from the Helsinki zoo, and then from the
European figure-skating championship.

Brooke Update re Chemo - OT by
CatNipped[_2_]
Brooke got her second round of chemo last weekend (sorry I've waited so long
to post, but have been in bed with the flu and away from a computer for a
while). She has her first three in the hospital then checked out Tuesday,
the 10th, then went back for an out-patient chemo on Saturday the...

Our other freeloaders by
Bobcat
I've often written in RPCA about dear little Mooch, our long-time
resident stray who scarfs down as many as seven meals a day on our
veranda, and sleeps in his own bed-chair equipped in the winter with
heating pads. At the same time, at the rear of our house we assist
another group of freeloaders....

Louie's lost his duck by
Caroline S.
It's somewhere in the house, but I can't find it anywhere. He doesn't
seem to be too upset by its absence, but he's playing with the girls'
toys more. Hopefully it'll turn up when I clean the house this
weekend. Otherwise, I'll have to get him another one.

A harmony of purrs by
Mark Edwards
I was happy to wake up this morning, with Little Boy on my pillow, purring
in one ear, and Little Feet above my pillow, purring in the other ear. It
was a truly reaxing and soothing harmony.
If not for Dulce Mae stretched lovingly across my feet, I might have
floated away.
Hugs and...

Meowmie let me visit the OUT!! by
Mischief[_2_]
Mischief is notorious for sneaking out the front door when no one's
looking. I was coming in from doing the laundry downstairs and I
turned around just in time to see her tail slip out the door.
Normally I chase after her and pick her up. But today was a nice day
and there was no one around.
So...

Advice requested: blind cat by
Phoenix
My son (who is very soft-hearted about animals) lives in an
apartment complex where they are very limited about how many
animals they can have. There are also a lot of abandoned animals.
A few weeks ago, he told us about this blind cat they've been
feeding. She's a she, nearly as we can tell,...

Suggestion: Be a "sponsor mom or dad" by
MaryL
Untold thousands of perfectly healthy cats and dogs are euthanized every
year because there are not enough people to adopt them (and the primary
blame, in my opinion, is failure of people to spay or neuter their pets).
One great help is when people agree to foster and socialize pets even when...

Little Boy and the alarm clock by
Mark Edwards
We have a clock radio at the side of the bed. Little Boy has been known to
step on it and turn on the alarm.
This radio has a really handy nap button on it. It can be set for 10, 20,
30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes. This morning, Little Boy decided I had slept
long enough, and stepped on the nap...
