Kitten Horror Story by Wulfdog
Does anyone want to hear a horror story about a kitten that turned out better than expected, but is still up in the air as to our fate more than the Kitten's?

Dumped Kittens, Dumped Mama by Sherry
There's a cat outside that looks remarkably like the fuzzy gray kittens. Except she is very wild and won't let me close to her. I think it's the mama. Except the kittens are so tame! Maybe she is tame too and just afraid.

The sparrow by dirtylitterboxofferingstospammers
Well folks, Bobby Charlton the sparrow has been released into the garden. She (it was a female) was very perky yesterday and today, so I thought it was time to give her her chance back out in the wild. I wonder if she'll make it. Cheers, helen s --This is an invalid email address to avoid...

Need Prayers by Jo Firey
We just got a phone call that my brother Dick is in surgery at Washington Hospital Center (D.C.) They are trying to repair a tear in his aorta. He was on his way to work with his son Mickey when he got the pain in his chest. I'm thinking it is very good news that he has made it this far. Please...

Confession: I am not above stealing cats by TBird
Well, ya' see, I like living healthy cats. I'm kinda partial to that version over the half eaten by foxes variety that comes home as a bloodied collar. I did not steal my neighbors cat, although the little thing really wanted to be mine. I knew where he belonged, and while I'm personally not an...

What have I done? by jmcquown
My oldest brother Paul called - can you cat sit for me while I am in Canada for a couple of weeks? Uh, sure. He'll be by tomorrow to bring me a key to his house. Told me where the food is and asked that I just drop in every couple of days, clean the litter box, make sure she has food, fresh...

Latest Crackles Update (appt moved up) by Steve Touchstone
Either I just don't see the latest update, or Crackles meowmie still hasn't gotten her computer system reading/posting to newsgroups. I've been offline a couple days myself, so have 400 odd messages to wade through, but didn't see any mention of an update so though I'd pass it along before getting...

Ernie's Back by Sherry
Ernie the polydactyl foster cat, is back. His new home didn't work out. I think my daughter is starting to feel sorry for me and she adopted him. It's really frustrating because it was a perfect home. The only problem is, her existing cat (who is very young, too) didn't like him. But she didn't...

Purrs for two kitties who went to RB today by Mischief
I don't know the first kitty's name, age or anything. I don't even know the owners but I was going into work this morning, when one of the vets I work with comes in with his briefcase in one hand and garbage bag in the other. Before I could ask, he said, "I found half my neighbor's cat on my lawn...

The Box! by jmcquown
Remember, Persia was in her Kitty Walk when the postman dropped off a small box. She started making a fuss and demanded to be brought inside. Steve Touchtone pointed out, quite validly, it wasn't the human walking on my patio that got her dander up, it was the BOX. Last night around 10:00 PM...

Piddle Pants by JBHajos
Has anyone here ever heard of, seen, or used Piddle Pants? It's supposed to be for cats that are incontinent or in heat. I'd read of a family that was ready to euthanize their older cat because it was incontinent and was told about Piddle Pants, which saved the day *and* the cat. They're also...

Fuga by Fuga :o\)
Hi all, Sorry I am not around much.. We have been busy packing. I've been really busy with cat sitting and my volunteer work with the cat rescue group which has been wonderful. I'm not so sure that Fuga agrees, this morning he vomitted blood. We rushed him into the vet and they feel he has an...

US NY) Your Pet's Emotions: There To See by [email protected]
(CBS) Just because your family pet can't actually speak to you doesn't mean it isn't trying to tell you something. In fact, the body language of most cats and dogs should be enough to present a clear picture of the animal's thoughts and feelings. Veterinarian Debbye Turner shows The Early Show a...

Kitty Road Trip by OU812?
Possum and Tygra made out really well on our trip from NB to Alberta. Nights when we slept in the tent, the kitties slept in the car with the windows cracked and their litter and food available. One night when it was really horrid, the kitties got to sleep in the tent. Little buggers...

For those who bathe your cats (possible BW) by EvelynVogtGamble(Divamanque)
I just received a catalog from a new source of pet supplies. They had one item I couldn't believe! (Although it makes a lot of sense, when bathing a reluctant cat.) They have a web-site, and I found a picture of the gadget on line. Go to http://www.carealotpets.com/ Choose "advanced search",...

Teaching my mom how to pill a cat by Cheryl
Since I'm going on vacation at the end of the month (yay! finally!) my Mom said last year she'd stay at my house overnight all week to take care of kitties. Since Shadow requires daily pilling, we agreed she should come ahead of time to make sure she could first, lift him, and second give him his...
