Panic by Christina Websell
Because Boyfie was not in the house, meowing for his breakfast when I woke up. It never happens. I felt sure he'd been killed by a car (unlikely) but where was he? He strolled in at 11 a.m. saying he'd been chasing rats all night. He maybe did, he got onto his duvet and crashed until evening.

(OT) Mozilla Firefox Advice by jmcquown[_2_]
I mentioned I had to replace my PC. Now I'm trying to install Mozilla Firefox (browser). I cannot figure out how to install this without it asking me to d/l all this other add-on stuff I don't want. I'll keep looking around but if anyone has a quick link to just your basic Firefox...

Cat-sitting Again by jmcquown[_2_]
I've been cat-sitting for my neighbor since August 1st. She'll be gone until the 16th. This time she made sure she had enough Fancy Feast (the two boys split a can twice a day). However, they're also both of different prescription diets of dry kibble. I was given very specific instructions...

Got Persia's r/x food and cats are goofy :) by jmcquown[_2_]
I drove to the vet today to buy Persia's k/d food. She still doesn't like it much but at least it's not making her sick. I bought a case of the canned and a bag of the kibble. It was pouring down rain. (Here's wishing for rain for folks who haven't had any recently.) The receptionist looked...

Need Ideas for Cat Anniversary by Arthur Shapiro[_2_]
Thursday will mark one year since I got my little Russian Blue kitty Niobe. Like Emma, she was a CraigsList acquisition. I'm trying to figure out something nice to do for her. After the first couple of months, where she was eating everything in sight and bulking up substantially (I think the...

Have you considered the fourth dimension? IMHO that is where TuTu goes so I can't find her. MLB

(OT) Testing Thunderbird for Usenet by jmcquown[_2_]
Using Thunderbird as a newsreader is going to take some getting used to. I'm still messing around with the settings so please bear with me. OB Cats: I was taking some pictures of the living room. I picked up Persia's *many* kitty toys and set them on a bookshelf so they wouldn't clutter up...

Not sure what to do now by jmcquown[_2_]
Persia does not like the Royal Canin or the Prescription Hill's k/d canned food the vet said she should eat. (They sold me both brands so I could see which she liked better... the answer is neither one.) She was merely picking at it, just eating enough to stave off hunger pangs. I called the...

How time flies - original message when I was adopting Duffy by MaryL[_2_]
How time flies – and what a difference it makes. I was looking through some old files and came across this one. It is the opening paragraph of my very first message concerning Duffy, filed on Jan. 27, 2003. Those of you who have been following my messages know that adopting Duffy was one of...

Royal Canin vs. Hill's k/d? by jmcquown[_2_]
I did wind up having the vet come out yesterday. Persia pooped outside the litter box and also threw up in the bathroom (which she hasn't done in a long time). Okay, distress signal! It's time to get the vet involved. Thank goodness every room in this house has a door. I knew she'd run and...

No cat has come for my vacancy yet by Christina Websell
I know for a fact that it should not be a black one. I keep my cat food in my porch and Boyfie likes to accompany me to get it. He can see out of it and there was a black cat strolling about his own business over the road. Boyfie immediately puffed up and was about to go out there and destroy. ...

Never used this before but it was all they had in the shop- anyone else used it? I did the boxes about 1.30 this afternoon since then there have been 3 trips to the boxed made and after each one I have to grab the dustpan and brush and sweep it up as it's getting kicked all over the bathroom...

Catsan cat litter by [email protected]
Anyone else use this? It was all the shop had today so I got it. I did the boxes about 1.30 this afternoon- there have been about 3 visits by cats followed by me with a brush and dustpan as they've kicked it everywhere.... I'm not sure whether they just like kicking it, it's lighter so more...

Persia Update by jmcquown[_2_]
Mixing some of the R/x canned food with Fancy Feast has helped. She's eating it. She's drinking plenty of water (she always has). She's pooping normally (not outside the box) No diarrhea, no vomiting. But she really does not like this R/x food even when it's mixed with FF. I'm not sure I...
