Non-chemical flea remedy by Yowie
Have a friend who loves cats, hates fleas and has problems with pyrtherin and other insecticides. Does anyone know a way of ridding a house of flea infestation (and keeping them away) without the use of pyretherin or other insecticides? Ta, Yowie --

OT - Chronic Pain Management Experience? by CatNipped[_2_]
It's been a month since my spinal surgery and, unfortunately, the pain has not gone away - which pretty much means there was irreversible nerve damage done (and I won't get into all those doctors I went to for 2 years who said nothing could be done, which prolonged the time the nerve was...

Are your cats fighters? by Christina Websell
For those who cats go outdoors Kitty FC would fight any cat that came in her garden when she was younger, except for one black cat that she took a shine to. They used to sleep together in the toolshed, but she fell out with him for some reason. I was surprised when she allowed Boyfie to step...

I Should Have Been More Sepcific! by Sharon & Smudgie
I feel Smudgie twice a day. First thing in the morning when I get up, and again around 6 in the evening. She has a bowl of dried food to nibble on inbetween. It's rare that my other half or daughter feed her. Smudgie is always yelling at her bowl in the morning for her breakfast, irrelevant...

Wish me Luck (OT) by jmcquown[_2_]
My brother suddenly decided to blow into town for a few days; he'll be here around 3PM. (I know why he thinks it's suddenly critical for him to be here.) I could use some purrs for as unstressful a visit as possible. Jill

Bandit has only 5 lives left! by Lesley
It's about a year ago since I came on the list about my dear friend and devoted cat slave Hugh and the kitten he found, wasn't going to keep because his flatmate said they couldn't have 3 cats and how within a week they would have been heartbroken if someone had claimed her. She has black markings...

A better litter scoop by ---MIKE---
I ran across this at Wal-mart. In the kitchen accessary section they have what they call a "strainer'. It is the same size and shape as the litter scoops that the pet shops sell but it is better made and more rugged. It sells for $3.50. The scoop section is a wire mesh that is just the perfect...

Cat's Love Song by Jack Campin - bogus address
This is one of the odder pieces of music I've heard lately: http://nadishana.com/Rus/AlbumsEng.htm and listen to the "Kuzhebar Traditional Cat's Love Song". Whoever it was here that didn't like "world music" will, um, have kittens. (I found his site as I was interested in getting one of his...

Anyone got any spare (virtual) "Dirty Litterbox Offerings"? by MatSav
Someone stole my bicycle from my workplace on Monday. There's CCTV images of him leaving the site, but it's a "rear view", so not much help for the police. I've spent several hours looking through images from sixteen different cameras to see if he's been caught anywhere else on the 93-acre...

The Doctor Called (OT) by jmcquown[_2_]
He got Mom's medical records. He said stop taking this and this and this and this and this, oh and she she doesn't need that either. She's down from 9 prescriptions to 3 plus a baby aspirin every day! He's calling the new rx's to the Medigap Pharmacy where they do compounding so they can be...

What to do by Granby
A stray my son took in had 9 Babies. People kept backing out of taking them. We could find no shelter in our area that would take cats, too many they said. We did give them, with 100 pounds of cat food to a farmer, four of them that is. This so upset all of us that my granddaughter wants her...

DH back in plaster by wafflycat[_2_]
Just back from hospital. Seems his achilles is torn again. On Tuesday they'll decide if it's to be an op or not. Looking like another 13 weeks in plaster at the very least. It'll mean he's had more than six months in plaster...

Purrs for the unknown ginger bitty by Yowie
Being the local "cat lady", I was notified of a small ginger kitten that was lying awkwardly under one of the industrial waste bins at work. I assumed that the bin had been placed on top of the kitten when ithad been emptied by the truck, and the kitten was injured and trapped there. I have...

Update: Purr Request by ChildFree23
First of all, my mom and I thank you for the purrs and prayers sent our way while she was in the hospital earlier this month. To make a long story short, the hematologist discontinued my mother's chemo, while she was in the hospital, a day and a half early. A recent round of tests revealed no...

Boyfriend and visitors by Christina Websell
He just will not stay in the house if anyone comes. When I got home from work today he was on his donut bed, quite comfy, and normally he will stay there until it's time for his meal and then he goes out for a bit of rat-patrolling and being important around his territory. Then Simon arrived, my...

Toys in The Catfood by Kyla =^..^=[_4_]
Our 4 cats are so funny. When they run out of dry food aka kibble, they take some of their fuzzy pipe cleaners, that we got at the craft store, and put them in the bowls. LOL We feed them canned twice a day, Friskies beef in the morning and Friskies chicken at night, the 'Prime Fillets' cuts...
