Ping Joy by
Adrian[_2_]
Have I done something to upset you? I hope not, but I've noticed you
responded to every sympathy message for, Nanki-Poo, except mine and I
wondered why.

I got the pictures of the gathering put up. by
tanadashoes
They are in the "we met" album on my Photobucket site.

I somehow was unable to download the pictures we took at Wilmington North
Carolina and deleted them in the process. I'm not happy.

Thanks all by
wafflycat[_2_]
Thanks all for the good wishes in respect of Vernon's snapped achilles
tendon. His first night in plaster was not too bad. I had his foot raised up
on pillows so there was no swelling (which would have been agony). He's up,
breakfasted, washed, shaved & dressed and already at his desk working....

Father of the Year (not OT) by
Kreisleriana[_3_]
I was walking around the neighborhood this morning and saw a majestic tabby
tom, with a huge head and one eye, sitting on a porch. He was yowling
persistently at the door. Out of the door came a lady bearing plates of
gooshyfood. Then, out of nowhere, three kittens came charging right at the...

Can you name a cat DUKE? by
Bridget[_4_]
I don't know what my meezers name was before I got him, but the name
that keeps coming to me for him is "Duke". He is a large cat - very
long and very tall and probably weighs in at close to 13 pounds. His
whole stance is BIG and his attitude is surly although in reality, he
is a sweetie. He will...

Picture hosting help by
Gandalf
I have a few nice pics of Kenzie I'd like to put on the 'net for RPCA to
see. And a very few pics of my RB kitties; scans of old photos.
I used to have photos hosted on Yahoo; but I lost them all when they
closed their picture hosting service :-(
I'm not terribly skilled using my computer; is...

Outwitted by Cinders by
John F. Eldredge
Cinders was supposed to go to the vet this morning for her annual rabies
shot and physical examination. I set the cat carrier out on top of the
chest freezer last night, with the door standing open. This has
generally worked, in the past, as Cinders usually is skittish when I
first get the...

From Cuddle to Zoom in a flash by
Mark Edwards
In a literal flash of light...
Little Boy decided he wanted to be cuddled. This is one reason his
nickname is Teddy Bear. He is lying in my arms, his head on my chest,
relaxing, purring, and enjoying being petted and sweet-talked.
Tonight was stormy. Suddenly, lightening flashes, and thunder...

Got any spare phone cash (OT) by
Lesley
Hi
I have one of those odd mobile contracts where I pay 15.00 a month up
front and in exchange they allow me to make up 34.00 of calls or
texts. It suits me because when I had a pay as you go phone I spent
pretty much 15,00 a month anyway- most months I go nowhere near the
limit
This month I plan...

Cleaning litterboxes, revisited by
[email protected]
OK, forget the bleach. I can't deal with all the precautions you have
to take, lest you inadvertently create deadly gases in your bathtub.
I'm going to go the environmentally friendly route. So I bought some
vinegar and some baking soda. And then I went hunting through my saved
articles from RPCA...

A couple of weeks back I was sitting on the tube reading an advert for
the new Purina One- Natural Balance and it invited you to text for a
free sample so I did and that arrived last night just about one meal
for two cats so I put it in their bowl and left them to decide what
they thought of...

dear diary... by
Jack Campin - bogus address
A day in the life, with six cats...
5.00am: vaguely wake up as Marion goes out to work a ridiculously early
morning shift for the second day running this week.
5.45am: woken by a godawful series of crashes and bangs all over the
house, finally centring on the bathroom. Find Ollie...

Close Encounters of the Kitty Kind by
jmcquown[_2_]
Well, Persia just had an up-close-and-personal with Schwartzie, the
neighbor's black cat of similar size.
Schwartzie uses the pine needles out back beyond our patio (and property
line) as his "litterbox" when he's out. Persia spotted him through the
glass door. (Funny, she turned her head...

Rescue lady called today by
Pat[_2_]
I heard from Carolyn Jordan this morning. She said to thank the people here
who sent contributions via Paypal (which she's still working out how to use)
and told me a story about a Great Pyrenees that was delivered from a shelter
in Ozark County. The dog had badly matted fur and was not very tame....
