Blanket Purrs 7/7/2010 by
jmcquown[_2_]
I generally don't care to hand out blanket purrs; they feel so impersonal.
But real life intruded (in a good way for a change!) so here you go. Purrs
for those who have lost their beloved kitties. Know you are in my thoughts
and I've gone to the candle page to light a candle for your loss(es)....

Cat Rescue by

http://www.cbc.ca/canada/newfoundland-labrador/story/2010/07/05/cat-rescue-fire-department.html
I had no idea that the fire department in my smallish city had gotten
special oxygen masks for animals! There have been earlier stories about
them rescuing (or sometimes, sadly, not) cats from burning...

Kitty enclosure update by
Cheryl[_3_]
First, purrs all around. I haven't checked here in a few days. It's been
so very busy. I saw about Smudgie and hope she gets her fuzzy butt home
PRONTO.
This is going so painfully slow. The guy is only seeming to work half days,
and misses a lot of days. He might be a handyman for a...

Grandmother Duties, Barekitten and Not by
Sherry
I've been scarce the last few days because I have been on Grandmother
Duty. But wait,
it really is on topic. And just a delightful story.
I had the 10-month-old grandson for three days. It's very interesting,
the cats' reactions to
this noisy, busy barekitten. Bosley, Biskit and Frank immediately...

The Ham monster by
Mishi[_2_]
Puff is my 11 month old long haired tuxie, and he weighs 3lbs 8oz. He is
VERY small for his age - he reminds me of KFC. I am usually the one that
does the medicating and force feeding of the sick ones, but my DH has
fallen in love with Puff, giving him his meds, wiping his nose and
making sure...

Tuesdays with Fred by
David Rorer
Tuesdays with Fred
Tuesday mornings I drive over to the group home to visit with my old friend
Fred.
Fred is always glad to see me and we spend about an hour together, while I
tell him what's going on at home. The big news, lately, has been about his
sister, who has been going out a lot.
He...

Ping Mark - Lost Cat FAW by
CatNipped[_2_]
I know whenever a cat goes missing we have numbers of posts with good ideas
of finding the missing miscreant. What do you think about putting a page on
the FAQ that has all those suggestions and we can just point the frantic
slave there rather than trying to remember all the tips over and over...

Why is there a kitty face... by
Takayuki
.... attached to my my hands as I'm trying to simultaneously guard and
eat a cup of yogurt? A kitty face so dark and furry, with eyes so
large and eager, tongue so pink and quest-y, chin so soft and supple?
And aren't cats lactose intolerant? Oh yes I remember now - the
lactose is broken down by...

Raccoon invasion by
Bobcat[_2_]
Last night at dark, Mooch our resident feral kitty was having a late
supper on His Veranda when a small masked face peeked up around the
steps. A baby raccoon had smelled the food and wanted his share. I
stood up and shooed him off. Then I discovered his mother and two
other baby coons waiting in...

New friends by

Hi all
For those who remember me I am still an occasional lurker and very rarely
post! It has been about 3 1/2 years since Sesame went to the Rainbow Bridge,
and I have finally moved into my new home and welcomed a new kitty!
His name is Max and he came from the RSPCA aged about six months. He...

Betty gets a Pringle by
Magic Mood Jeep
Jest a few moments ago I opened a fresh can of Pringles (original
flavor, although I like sour cream & onion as well), and after eating
only two, I noticed a cat at my elbow.
It was none other than hidey-cat, Betty, who has a passion for Pringles.
Since Annie (the d-thing) is a crumb-seeking...

Update: Moe is Found! by
Sherry
I posted earlier about Moe, the cat who became lost last Friday while
his owner was
staying at a hotel in Kansas City. She had been enroute across the
country with him.
He has been found! She remained in Kansas City all this time searching
for him. She had
done/tried just about everything humanly...
