cemeteries by
[email protected]
This is kind of off the subject, but I once heard that there was an
actualy pet/animal cemetery somewhere in or around New Orleans. If
anyone knows anything about this, can somewhere tell me where it is,
I've searched the web and found nothing, maybe it's just a rumor.

Ultrasonic cat repellant?? by
Ken Moiarty
Hi,
I'm interested in trying one of those ultrasonic cat repellant devices to
keep a certain person's cat from peeing in certain areas of our house.
Before I shell out the cash though, I want to be sure to choose a product
that is reliable.
These devices use a motion sensor so as to trigger the...

cat litter suggesions by
[email protected]
I'm looking for suggestions for the best cat litter as far as least
messy. And by least messy I mean doesn't get tracked all over the house
as much as other kinds. I'm using VetBasis now, which seems only a bit
better than the normal kind of grocery store clumping kinds.

This did not make me happy by
Fritti
There's been quite a stir down here with us in the Netherlands. There's been a puma sighted! Prowling on the loose, and responsible for a few sheep killings, this big pussycat has managed to get a twenty-people party of police on the move. And kitty has eluded them for a couple of times already....

A glimmer of hope... by
Fritti
Well, had some problems with the Net so I couldn't post this on the day I found it, but there was a tiny little message in the paper last Saturday about that puma on the loose. They have called in an expert from Pantera (which is kind of a shelter for big cats which had to leave their house), and...

How far can a cat fly ??? by
Tristan Beeline
I'm a scientist doing research on cats and their ability to fly.
I heard that cats can use their tails like a helicopter and fly
several miles while hunting birds.
Is that true or just an urban legend ?

problem with my new kitten by
furby
Just got this kitten a few days ago and it has learned a kind of
annoying little behaviour. While I am asleep it likes to cuddle up just
beneath my chin and sleep. Very cute. BUT, when it wakes up and decides
it wants to play, it starts to stick it's face into mine and then claw
at my face...

Reprieve for the puma by
Fritti
Well, they had until today to capture the kittie alive, but so far no new sightings have occurred. However, there have been reports that came with quite detailed descriptions, so the, as it is called, "puma-team" from the Pantera institute, has gotten two more days to try and capture the puma....

Uh oh... Some bad news on the reprieve for the puma by
Fritti
Reading the paper today to look for news on the big kittie, I found the following: the temperature has been over 30 degrees Celcius here for a couple of days already, and this is totally ruining the success of finding the puma. From the day the temperature climbed this high, there have been no more...

Another kitten with 2 faces by
[email protected]
2 faced kitten called Gemini born in Roseberg, Oregon on Sunday 12th
June. I'm not sure if it's simply being reported more often or it is
happening more often due to environmental toxins or inbreeding. In
this case the owner claims to be breeding miniature cats, not sure if
it's a genetically...

Ah... Good news again on reprieve for the puma by
Fritti
The Pantera institute has had success in their request to the government. Today's paper said that minister Veerman (of Nature) will go to the mayor of Ede (the town housing the nature park where the puma is in) to get the puma-hunters more time to capture it alive. They had been given until today,...

Adopt This Great Cat! by
Mary
We have a gorgeous young male red tabby, neutered and vetted here. He has
been at the shelter a bit too long for comfort and will be "re-evaluated"
this Wednesday, June 29th. The shelter does euthanize cats.
We will not only pay his adoption fee but will find a way to get him to
you--if you can...

Puma on the loose... No, there's TWO! by
Fritti
Officials of the Pantera Institute published photos last Saturday of the puma they've been hunting for over two weeks now. It's a black one, so most probably it's not a puma but a panther or a crossing of some sort. It has moved away from the nature park where it was first spotted, and has be...

And the puma soap continues... by
Fritti
Aha! No wonder that one photographer having submitted the photo of the blonde puma to the Pantera Institute wished to remain anonymous. The pic was fake. Well, not exactly, it was an actual real live puma on that photo, thing just was that it hadn't been taken here in the Netherlands, but somewhere...

Cat Vaccines can Lead to Cancer by
[email protected]
Did you know that VACCINATIONS, which we get to protect our cats, could
actually lead to CANCER? I had never heard of this until June 2002.
My 8-year-old cat, Jack, was diagnosed with Vaccination-Associated
Sarcoma (VAS) on June 25, 2002. He had rapidly growing tumors on his
shoulder. This cancer...
