Drinking a lot of water and eating litter?? by
[email protected]
Fatass is 16, and ever since the past winter when I had a pot of water
on the floor in the bedroom for humidity, she comes in early in the
morning and drinks from it for a good minute. She also drinks from her
regular water dish, but not with the same voracity. Since she sees the
pot as a water...

Indoor neutered male becomes very aggressive when stray comes to our door...... by
Jo Kobler via CatKB.com
A local farmer lets his cat out and natch, it comes right to our house.
Well, my 3 year old 20 pound neutered male goes bananas. Two times now as I
walk into the room and see that this other male is outside, my male
instantly flies at me and bites me hard on my leg-thru my jeans - Blood all
over....

Good god - 5 seconds of horrible television by
Brian Link
I think I had the station on "FX", and ignored the "mature audiences"
warning. The first clip was a guy strangling, and then killing a cat.
Man - it's so weird how we're inured against simulated murders and
mutilations of humans in the media (anyone watch Annikan on fire in
"Revenge of the...

Too cruel? by
223rem
I'd like to teach my two rather wimpy kittens to hunt, or at least
to give them something entertaining and instructive to do.
I want them to be more like my girlfriends' cats, that cool cat
who killed bunnies and birds.
I am considering the idea of buying several small rodents from
the pet store...

Smelly cat water! by
Beverly & Vicki via CatKB.com
Hi,
I've noticed that Vicki's water has an awful smell when I go to change it.
Sometimes the tap water has an "algae" smell when you first turn it on, but
this smell does not match.
I feed Vicki Nutro wet food..could it be that since she usually drinks
around the time she's eating that some of...

Why Does She Love Cobwebs? by
Mary
My cat Buddha hunts cobwebs. (Not that they are hard to find around here!)
She eats them with great relish when she finds them. She patrols the house
and scoops them out from under dressers etc.
I have never seen a cat do this. What interests me is that I know that
spider webs (as many of you...

best place to come to for advice!
We have a 7 month old kitten who we got from a rescue centre. She was
spayed in April. About 3 weeks after being...

Introducing a 3rd cat - words of encouragement needed by
Marcie
Sorry if this is a bit long...
A little less than a week ago, I took in a stray (seemingly abandoned)
cat that was found in and around the building where I work. My office
building is in an industrial park at least 5 miles away from any
residential area.
The cat was very "people friendly" and...

I want KitKat and my Hubby to become friends. by
[email protected]
So we have had KitKat for almost 3 months now and he is still afraid of
my husband. Mike doesn't yell at him or anything I think that it is
that he is just a loud man. The cat will run out of a room if Mike
gets up from a sitting position and seems to only let Mike touch him
when I am there and...

How to (not?) wash a cat by
223rem
I have 2 6month-old kittens, male (whole) and
female (fixed). I just gave them a bath because
they both stank. The female was more or less ok
with it but the male struggled desperately to get
out of the sink so I had to give up on him
half-way through and he's scared ****less now.
What I did was...

Neurotic Cat licks himself bloody. by
Scott Davis
Hi, folks.
I adopted him from the local shelter about 2 years ago. Every
"SPRING!", he gets more neurotic than is normal for him.. and starts
licking himself.
He's still a little baby. About 3.5 years old, all black, male,
clipped, baby. Hyperactive running screamer.
Last year it was a...
