National Geographic had a piece on snow leopards in their last issue. Gorgeous pics, as always with NG: http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2008/06/snow-leopards/chadwick-text/1 -- Marina, Miranda and Caliban. In loving memory of Frank and Nikki.

Nanki-Poo's new "bed" by Joy
Nanki-Poo pulled the worst BCT ever! First, to set the stage: As of yesterday, he has found a new place to lie - in the litter box. That seemed a bit strange to me. He was there for an hour or so yesterday, and for several hours today. When I fed them, he came out into the kitchen, but didn't...

attempt at moving in... by wafflycat[_2_]
Opened the front door this morning and in rushed.. ... a ginger cat an intact ginger tom (young adult). Said cat is distinctly *not* feral or abused. He's in very good condition and well fed. he just happens to think Chateau Wafflycat is home. Which it's not. Waffles decided to make sure said...

Abelard is still struggling to get well by Pat[_2_]
He's back on antibiotics because I don't think the ear infection ever cleared up completely, the bottom of the back of his ear is bare of fur and slightly reddened from scratching and his balance is still not right. He has definitely improved and is eating and drinking well, but not gaining back...

RPCA gathering photos by Kajikit[_2_]
I trimmed my photos down a bit and fixed up the contrast and stuff and put them back on webshots... but if anyone else wants a copy of the files they're small enough to email now. (straight out my camera they were 2 megabytes each, which is ridiculous!)

May Kenzie have some purrs, please? by Gandalf
My wonderful calico kitty is going in for a dental cleaning this Friday (6/27) and I am worried sick. She is my only kitty, so she is especially precious to me. She is now 12 1/2 years old. And I'm worried about the anesthetic, of course. She isn't real bad with tartar, but she had gingivitis a...

TED's verdict on Kitty Farmcat this afternoon. by Christina Websell
She did not maintain the slight improvement I saw which caused me to cancel her appointment last week. I said I would give her over the weekend and she how she went. She hardly ate on Sunday, no matter what lovely food was provided. Monday morning she ate nothing, Monday after work I phoned...

Sad story witha HAPPY ending that I just heard by Will in New Haven
A friend of mine was moving to Maine from California last year. She decided that she could not take her cat on such a long trip. So she left poor Winkle at a no-kill shelter. She didn't dare tell me because she figured it would end our friendship. She is right that it would have put quite a strain...

Lucky Boris by Lesley

Diary Entry by Chloe Cat
AN EXCERPT FROM CHLOE'S DIARY Dear Diary, My poor Pine Cone! I stood him up at the altar. My poor, poor love. My heart is sad because he is sad, I cry because he cries, I yowl because he yowls. But what was I supposed to do? I love him with all my heart, and wish to be his forever ladycat, but...
