Cats eating their young? by
Thor1207
I thought this was just "an old wives tale." My daughters watched a neighbors
cat give birth to 3 kittens. When they came back after leaving for supper
there were only two kittens. They were looking around the barn for the
missing kitten when they noticed the mother eating one of the remaining...

Dilated Pupils by
Suzie-Q[_2_]
About a year and a half ago I took in a kitten that someone had
dumped at Wal-Mart. (She wasn't feral, like most cats in that
woodsy area, so I'm guessing she was dumped.) She has always had
dilated pupils, even in high light. When my other cats are in
sunlight with only little slits, Sweetie's...

Presentation of disorientation by
[email protected]
Hi all,
My cat, approx. 12 years old, presented this evening with some strange
symptoms. He was walking slowly around the room, always hugging one
wall, seemingly disorientated. Ollie is an insulin-dependent diabetic
cat and has also been suffering from hyperthyroidism.
We've seen similar...

FIV: NOT An Automatic Death Sentence by
stephcat
My family and I have been caring for our own FIV+ cats for the past
four years, and we regularly correspond with other pet owners who are
doing the same.
Cats with FIV can enjoy a high quality of life for many years, if
properly cared for. Yet many vet clinics still encourage pet owners...

Sudden cat death by
saxrocco
Hi
I have been searching the net for answers and advice.
I have had cats all my life and I will always have them, but what I am about
to write has really shocked us.
On Saturday we took our long haired tom cat called 'Donny' to be groomed as
he was full of lugs and we thought he would feel better....

Feline Pine Scoop Litter - Does not Scoop! by
sfmary
My cat has developed a cough and the vet and thought it may be the
silica dust from the litter. The x-ray did not show anything serious.
He was given Prednisolone which helped for a while then the cough and
wheeze started up again.
I tried the wheat litter Swheat only they licked the dust off of...

Cat won't eat by
Gary Woods
Neutered male, 8 years old:
Eli ate very little according to pet sitter, while we were on vacation, now
losing weight (12#, down to 9#), and has eaten virtually nothing for a
couple of weeks.
Vet found nothing wrong; blood work normal, X-rays showed no tumors, no
blockages. The did tooth...

'Rovers' character after death of his brother... by
saxrocco via CatKB.com
As a lot of you aware 'Donny' our 5 year old cat sadly died 2 weeks ago and
it really shocked us as it was unexpected.
I am just wanting to share these moments with you, but I know his (Rover)
behaviour is bound to change (after all his brother and best mate is not here

aspirin for cat? by
Zippy
Our 16 mo. old male cat had his 1 year vaccination yesterday. He won't
eat & wants to sleep 24 hours/day.
Vet says give 1/2 a baby aspirin. I thought that aspirin was bad for
cats. Is it or not?
