Cats eating their young? by Thor1207
I thought this was just "an old wives tale." My daughters watched a neighbors cat give birth to 3 kittens. When they came back after leaving for supper there were only two kittens. They were looking around the barn for the missing kitten when they noticed the mother eating one of the remaining...

Dilated Pupils by Suzie-Q[_2_]
About a year and a half ago I took in a kitten that someone had dumped at Wal-Mart. (She wasn't feral, like most cats in that woodsy area, so I'm guessing she was dumped.) She has always had dilated pupils, even in high light. When my other cats are in sunlight with only little slits, Sweetie's...

FIV: NOT An Automatic Death Sentence by stephcat
My family and I have been caring for our own FIV+ cats for the past four years, and we regularly correspond with other pet owners who are doing the same. Cats with FIV can enjoy a high quality of life for many years, if properly cared for. Yet many vet clinics still encourage pet owners...

Feline Pine Scoop Litter - Does not Scoop! by sfmary
My cat has developed a cough and the vet and thought it may be the silica dust from the litter. The x-ray did not show anything serious. He was given Prednisolone which helped for a while then the cough and wheeze started up again. I tried the wheat litter Swheat only they licked the dust off of...
