Purrs for Mithu by
Caroline S.
I'm taking him into TED tomorrow morning. He's been barfing a lot more
recently, and 2-3 times in the past 2 weeks has appeared to lose his
balance some, and then start walking in circles, almost compulsively.
He straightens himself out within a minute or two, but I'm wondering if
he has an ear...

Bandit's Going Blind by
CatNipped
Or at least very, very near-sighted. At 16, I guess that's not all that
unusual. She's been to the vet recently and is in great health otherwise,
so this isn't the result of an illness, just age. She doesn't seem to be
bothered by it, the only reason I noticed is that she doesn't look me in...

Purrs all around by
Pat
I'm so short of time lately I can't even read many posts but I see from the
subject fields that lots of purrs are needed right now, so I want to let
everyone who needs purrs that they're being sent even in the absence of
individual replies to posts.

Cat-Care Tip: by
Matthew AKA NMR
Never use a human toothpaste on your cat's teeth. Our toothpaste is made to
be rinsed out of our mouths, and cats can't rinse or spit.
No matter what type of litter box you buy for your cat, make sure she can
easily get into and out of it. Be especially careful when you're buying a
box for a...

Poor kitties!
The apartment manager has not yet turned on the A/C, and it's almost
90F inside. Opening windows doesn't help - it's just as hot outside.
Tomorrow - they tell me we will have A/C tomorrow!
Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

Buster's claws by

Buster has two favorite places these days - atop the recliner in the

that leaves me with less counter space than I need, to prepare meals,

Feline Facts by
Matthew AKA NMR
Almost half of all cats receive Christmas gifts. ( Come on admit it you
know it is true )
Pouncing is powered by a cat's thighs. These muscles are so powerful that if
you had a cat's thigh muscles, your thighs would be as big as your waist and
you could jump from the ground to the top of a...

I hope you get it soon! It's miserable not having AC when it's hot,
especially if you're wearing a fur coat. ;-)

Cute kitty song and pictures by
[email protected]
A true story:
http://www.loobiecore.com/kitty.html
The guy even has a picture on the page of the cat from the
song, so you can look at the handsome fellow (the cat, not
the singer) while you listen to the song.
In fact, he seems to be quite the cat lover, as he also has
a page of photos of all...

Sad Vet Trip by
Shiral
No, not the ULTIMATE sad vet trip, quite yet. But I took Pan in for a
follow up vet visit today, and while Pan's thyroid is normal, Dr. Mell
believes his kidneys are going. There is very little he can do, and
that would only delay the inevitable. When you're an eighteen year-old
cat, you're an...

Cruising Cats: Mar. 29, 2006 by
Annie Wxill
Wednesday, March 29, 2006
This morning we rescued a toad. It was trying unsuccessfully to climb up
the bulkhead and get out of the water. We used the net we brought in case
Rosie or Cinder go into the water. It worked fine for the toad. We hope we
never have to use it for a cat rescue.

[OT] More Katrina Recovery Pictures by

Erin just sent me these (via snail-mail since they won't have cable for a
loooooong time yet). It's been 7 months and 3 days since the storm, and
most people along the Gulf Coast are still homeless. My daughter is one of
the lucky ones (as well as being very handy and industrious) since all...

I was having a fitful nights sleep with Smokey at my side (as always) and
Miss Cleo roaming around from spot to spot and bring me her toys (WUWTA). At
one point I was laying on my side beside Smokey and Cleo was lying on my
Bicep. Miss Cleo stretches out her paw and sits there for a few...
