Smokey is a robot by Bill Stock[_2_]
Several times now she has got in my face just before the alarm goes off. I wish my internal clock was that accurate. So if she's a robot, how do you explain the stinky poops in the box?

Gentleman by Bill Stock[_2_]
We've been leaving food out for a couple of strays lately, but a rather large Raccoon has been showing up for dinner. The odd thing is that he has been leaving small amounts of food, which he could definitely finish. The light finally came on last night, when a female Raccoon showed up to finish...

Cats are Not Anti-Social by jmcquown[_2_]
Scientific study (and personal experience) proves, cats are not anti-social: https://www.washingtonpost.com/science/2019/01/16/if-you-think-cats-are-antisocial-maybe-its-you-scientists-find/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.116157365ea3 or: https://tinyurl.com/yamw6dwe The crux of the matter seems to be...

Several Days Old Story about a Tiger by jmcquown[_2_]
A tiger was found in the garage of an abandoned house in Houston, Texas, a few days ago. The person who discovered the tiger had snuck into the garage to smoke marijuana. They called the police. There is a recording of an emergency call from someone admitting they he/she went there to smoke...

Cat Pin (pic) by jmcquown[_2_]
When I went to work yesterday I wore this cat pin on the lapel of my dress: https://i.postimg.cc/TYmShGpQ/cat-fish.jpg My SO gave that to me for my birthday several years ago. :) One of the clients that came into the office yesterday happens to be a cat lover. I recognized her name on the...

Buffy licked the bird feeder by jmcquown[_2_]
I had to bring the bird feeder inside tonight. I heard a chittering sound which could only mean one thing. Raccoons. Sure enough, when I flipped on the outside lights there was a raccoon on the patio. I don't mind if they eat fallen bird seed on the patio or the ground around the patio. But...

Good recent Garfield comic by Tigger[_2_]
Garfield is mildly amusing (to me), rarely anything knee slapping. This one is (to me) https://d1ejxu6vysztl5.cloudfront.net/comics/garfield/2019/2019-02-12.gif Garfield: Cats are the smartest beings in the world (Jon walks by) Garfield: Not that the competition is all that tough

Buffy is Mad at Me by jmcquown[_2_]
I just started working a part time job. Today was my second day. (The schedule is rather erratic - four hours here, four hours there, every few days or so.) I got home about 4:30 this afternoon. Buffy was already unsure about my leaving for several hours every few days. I guess she figured...

Furminated by jmcquown[_2_]
For a short haired cat Buffy sure has a lot of fur! She has a very thick undercoat. I just used the Furminator de-shedding tool on her (she loves it! I highly recommend it). It was long overdue. I swear I collected almost enough fur to knit another cat. ;) She always feels so good after...

Happy New Year 2019! by jmcquown[_2_]
I have multiple pillows on my bed propped up against the headboard. Last night I was asleep with my arm stretched above my head. I felt a thump on the pillows above me. Buffy had gotten on the pillows above my head (she rarely does that). She gave my fingers a lick and then started rubbing...

New update on Mark Edwards by Mishi[_2_]
From Bridget: I just got a phone call from Mark. He is back in the hospital for kidney failure. They have him on dialysis. He has been there for about a week and isn't sure how much longer he will be in. He is quite frustrated with being sick for so long but still has a sense of humor. He said to...

Ear Scritches by jmcquown[_2_]
When I'm stretched on the couch reading a book (which happens at least once a day) Buffy has to be right there with me. She's learned to give herself ear scritches while I read. Well, one ear anyway. LOL She settles herself against the back of the couch, facing outward with her forepaws on...

I guess everyone did flee to Facebook? by jmcquown[_2_]
I've had problems with my cable modem since late last week. Now that I can read RPCA again it appears no one is talking about anything. sigh All I contribute is Buffy is happily playing with her toys and her golf balls and other toys. :) Aside from not letting me set out a silk flower...

Arrrgh! by jmcquown[_2_]
I don't do much in the way of decorating for the holiday season. I set a white ceramic "Christmas tree" studded with multi-coloured lights on top of a two-tier round table by the front door. When lit, it can be seen from the street. I set three stained glass angels on the the lower tier. ...

Buffy has such a sweet face! by jmcquown[_2_]
I love it when I can get a picture of her with those pretty eyes. The iris around her pupils is blue but her eyes are mostly green. I like to tell her someone painted orange stripes from her eyes down her face. Of course there is an orange M on her forehead....
