Persia Update: Eating without Enticement by jmcquown[_2_]
Persia has gotten to the point where I don't have to entice her to eat the canned prescription k/d by adding Fancy Feast. (She still gets FF occasionally as a treat.) She's eating the k/d kibble, too. No more tummy upsets, no problems. I'm thrilled about this! Jill

tooth extraction purrs? by Nadia N.
Yes, it is me again asking for purrs for Kotyo. He started pawing at his mouth over the weekend, and when I got him in to see the vet today he was found to have a massively infected tooth that needs to come out. The operation will be extra complicated because of his ruptured trachea in May. He...

Things that make kitties jump by Takayuki
Oh the things that make them jump and startle! I have a confession to make: Today, I made both the kitties practically jump right out of their skins! I call Dot my "tummy cat", because she loves having her ample tummy rubbed and kissed. I noticed that Dot was lounging on her cat seat after...

Master to the rescue by The Doctor
Our tabby Boots deciced to go exploring just before a major thunderstorm moved through. I thought cats can sense said impending danger. Anyways we were hoping he would find his way back on his own. Maybe , maybe not. I found him in the tree line just scared.

Missing Dulce Mae by Mark Edwards
We have a stuffed black cat with a shiny orange hat. I picked it up and cuddled it a little last night, in memory of Dulce Mae. When we went to bed, I sat it on the dresser where Dulce Mae used to lay, and tease me with her tail. Little Boy laid on the dresser, and cuddled up next to it. I...

Tree trimming by mlbriggs
We had an apricot tree that was overgrown so I hired someone to trim it. I was shocked and felt the tree had been mutilated bad enough to die. However, it continued to grow and the next fruit it produced were the largest and finest we had ever had. The apricots were as large as small peaches...

Fab 4 at it Again by David Whitfield
A bird got in the garage yesterday morning and 3 of the Fabulous 4 were at their cat best, running around, jumping, chattering, etc. Except for the laid back boy, Rambo. He got up onto the old refrigerator, sat down, and just didn't move anything but his eyes. After 10-15 minutes the activity...

The Fabulous 4 by Jaqmes Dent
The Fabulous 4 are getting older and changing their ways. In the past, Felix would not eat and kept Opie and Rambo away until his little brother Oscar had completed his food. Now it's every cat for himself. Opie, 9YO, has become my wife's cat. Sleeps cuddled up to her at night. Rambo, also 9YO, is...

Little Boy's claws by Mark Edwards
Little Boy has been very clingy since Dulce Mae died. He insists on being close, especially on sitting in my lap when I sit down. Unfortunately, he sometimes forgets about his claws, and I have lots of scratch and claw marks on my leg. Today, I picked him up and told him "No more lap time until...

Soaking Wet by jmcquown[_2_]
I fell asleep on the couch with Persia next to me. Kaboom! A huge clap of thunder awakened me. Oh no! I looked out, it was pouring down rain. Fedders is outside! I put on my flip flops, grabbed an umbrella and ran next door. I called out: Fedders! MEOOOOOOW! He came running. The poor...

Amber's purr by ---MIKE---
Amber almost never purrs. She usually spends the night on my bed and when I wake up in the morning, comes close enough to get pettins. When I am ready to get up I bend over and kiss the top of her head and tell her I have to get up. THEN she purrs. That's the only time. She is going to be 18...

Weeble's Purrday by Magic Mood Jeep
For some reason, I think I marked it in some online calendars as being the 22nd, but that’s the date I could find on the earliest picture of him – but I’d already had him for 2 days, and he was a day old when I found him, which would make my bunny-soft, shiny-black Weeble-baby’s actual birthday as...

I've just read that, Scott McKenzie has died age 73. The article didn't say what would happen to Spyder, I'm very sad to read this, 73 doesn't seem that old these days. -- Adrian

Last bridge crossed by Lesley[_4_]
I was having a bit of a lie in this morning and was half asleep when I felt a head nudge my hand so half asleep I reached over to give Sarsi some skritchies as she is my snuggle-buddy but the head wasn't Sarsi's it was Bonnie's! She's never really got on the bed before if someone was in it (she...
