New Outdoor Cat Enclosures by
Bandobi
Hi Everyone,
As you know, cats that roam freely outdoors are exposed to the dangers
of predators, cars, lawn fertilizers, etc. However, cats can enjoy
the sights and sounds of the outdoors in safety if they are given
access to an outdoor enclosure.
I own a small pet products business and we...

new rescue litter by
Wendy
Saturday our local rescue group called to ask us to bottle feed another
litter. The people who brought them in found them when they were mowing
their lawn. I guess they really wanted to mow that spot so they snagged the
kittens and brought them in. Here's hoping they can get mom and have...

newbie and a question about fostering by
Aphrodite's Cat
G'day.
New around these parts. Might even become a regular poster...
I work at the local SPCA down here and the animal control officer brought in
a box of 5 3-week old kittens. The mother's deceased from being killed by a
stray dog or two. Seems like mummy taught them the basics about kitty...

newborn kittens by
Rosemary
My brother found a cat that just had kittens under a sticker bush and
would like to move them to more safety spot. Can you move a litter
with the mother this young or will she hurt her babies if you do?
thanks for you advice.

Nice Las Vegas cat needs new home by
[email protected]
If you live in the Las Vegas area and would like to adopt a very nice
cat (and maybe his brother as well - they are both nice), Tumbleweed
will be at the PetSmart at Tropicana and Fort Apache. His name at the
Shelter had been Ooster and that is the name he will go by again. There
is a chance that...

No Help Available For Ferals? by
Robyn
Hi,
This is more of a vent than anything else, and this group seems like
the right place for it. Who knows, maybe you guys can offer suggestions.
I've just spent my entire morning trying to get trapping and spay/neuter
information for the 4 feral cats (all one litter) that came along with
the...

No more strays FOR NOW !!! by
krazy
I have been feeding strays for so long now that I hate to think of
what I have spent!! Every day I have gone out to feed cats whether
rain, snow, sleet, ETC. Younger ones I have tried to find homes for
or if during cold, winter weather I will take them to one of the local
shelters even through...

No-kill rescue in Los Angeles by
[email protected]
My wife has demanded that my two cats leave our company. They've taken
to urinating on the carpet and going outside the litter box and I've
been unable to end this behavior (it's been a couple years of putting
off this, so it's pretty much irrevocable at this point). The cats are
otherwise...

Non-euthanizing groups by
Marty
A few questions:
How do shelters that don't euthanize keep the pets? Do they cut off
the amount of pets they can take in once they reach a certain point?
Are pet shelters that don't euthanize preffered over ones that do?
Thanks,
Marty

Nursing kitten problem by
EzySpirit
Hi,
I'm a volunteer with a rescue group. A few days ago we took in a mom kitty
who was VERY pregnant. The day after she arrived she delivered 4 darling
little kittens.
It's probably her first litter so she's new to being a mom. Her foster
parent
is concerned because mom kitty is allowing the...

Obtaining a Persian-like cat by
Igor Schein
Hi,
First of all - sorry for cross-posting, I am not sure which of the 3
groups is the most appropriate. I am looking to get a cat for my
grandparents. I like Persian, Himalayan and Exotic. However, I am
looking to spend much less than breeders usually charge for
purebloods, since I am not so...

Of course a litter of kittens makes fine... THE TRUTH. You can't handle it. by
Bret Ludwig
This is the truth. Read it, every word, cat lubbers. Then look at your
fat, debased selves in the mirror and ask yourself: Is the carnage
worth it? Is there no SHRED of decency and moral rightness inside
yourselves that cannot spare a thought for the innocent victims of your
insouciant, illegal...

In case anyone is interested in seeing the old guy lying comfortably
next to me in the computer room. :)
I hope I did this right. I'm not very smart...
