Lori Crews crossposted again (was There's Something About Mary) by
-L.
I just noticed these posts were being cross-posted to anecdotes. Lori
Crews cross-posted between the groups AGAIN by adding rpca in the
follow-up field.
Sorry for the disruption - if I had noticed I would have sent the
replies back to H+B where they belong.
Don't ever act innocent again, Lori. ...

OT - The Turtle by
Magic Mood Jeep©
Last week I wrote about how DH saved a chipmunk from certain death on the
side of the road.
Yesterday, we were able to save a turtle from death as it crossed a road.
We were driving along, less than a mile from our home, when DH starts
cursing, swerves and pulls over to the side of the road (I...

I can't resist I have to share by
KittyLady
I caught myself sings this Saturday and would like to share.
It Goes to the tune of Doggie in the Window (I think)
Where oh where have my keys gone.
Oh where oh where could they be?
I've been looking near and far and those keys I do not see!
Oh there Oh there Oh there they are!

Favourite toys by
Kate
Our cats each have their own favourite types of toy (hence the vast
quantity in our house!).
Fudge likes large fur mice with long tails, and Rosie rats
Caramel likes small fur mice, and a crinkly ladybug toy
Meg likes those promotional bugs (the small fluffy ball with a ribbon
advertising things...

Using the hammock by
Pamela Shirk
We have a fold up type hammock that is brought out whenever the overflow of
people is to large for the number of beds. Mike loves it and tries to get
away with not putting it up when no one is visiting. Lately, he has
received assistance from the owners. The hammock has a net that is...

Tribute project by
Brian Moffet
I've started a tribute project to living and past cats. I'm looking for
more content.
If you would be so kind as to put in your cats (there is an add cat
page, and you can add a picture once you've added your cat) I would
appreciate it.
This project is being used to demonstrate technology to...

Ping Howard B. by
CatNipped
Got a question for you.
Background: I've had asthma in the past, but haven't needed an inhaler in
about 5 - 6 years. Lately, since the weight loss, I've been in excellent
health. Last Wednesday I had a check-up with the doctor and my BP was 110
over 70. Lungs and heart sounded great. I had...

Oscar being a sweetie by
Monique Y. Mudama
I was super-tired yesterday evening and my pain meds were running out,
but I suspected that Oscar was feeling neglected, so I sat down near
her, picked up the cat dancer she'd been half-heartedly pawing, and
made it dance.
She played with it for a minute or two, then did something...

Cleo - update by
Lois
Back from seeing TED, Cleo has an abscessed tooth, TED gave her a good check
over and said for her age she is in good nick, but the tooth has to come
out, we left her there, somewhat reluctantly, TED will remove the tooth in
the morning, not much sleep for us tonight, at her age it is probably...

[Completely OT] ... job hunters, what would you pay for ... by
Monique Y. Mudama
Well, I got a lot of feedback from my job hunt that my cover letter
was absolutely excellent. More than one person said I had the best
cover letter they'd ever seen.
I've also helped a few people recently, and they all said that I had a
real knack for it.
How much would you pay to have someone...

OT Humour: for the middle-aged women on the group. by
Christina Websell
Warning to all women
This is a warning to those friends who haven't experienced it yet, and
an explanation to those friends and family who have.
Most of you have read the scare-mail about the person whose kidneys were
stolen while he was passed out. Well, read on.
My thighs were stolen from...

For those who remember me by
Petra Zinnen
Hi folks,
I haven't read or posted in this group for a very long time, although
I'm a member of catslaves :-). It's just overwhelming to see the
number of postings each day in this group. I will not be able to
follow all of them.
For those who don't know or remember me: I'm german, and a slave...

wacky dreams ... by
Monique Y. Mudama
Oscar's tummy was really upset last night -- at first I thought we had
an intruder in the house, but it turned out to be noises from her
belly! Weird, as she's been eating the same food as usual.
Actually, she didn't eat her food last night ... This morning,
though, she was doing laps of zoomies...

[OT] I'm so bummed! by
CatNipped
I went to the bike shop to get my clipless-cleat shoes and pedals today.
But my stupid PeeWee Herman bike has a different sized axle and the pedal
won't fit!!!!
So for now, until I can get a *REAL* bike, I'm going to have to find the
clips that will fit - if I can.
I did get a good camelbak and...

Problem with Basho by
Victor Martinez
Well, not what you think, Basho is fine. The problem is when I work from
home. Basho *has* to be as close to my chest as possible. Right now he's
standing between me and the keyboard, making typing difficult. I need to
somehow fit a cat bed between me and the keyboard or perhaps get one of
those...

purrs for FIL tomorrow morning, please by
Monique Y. Mudama
My father in law is going in for bypass surgery tomorrow morning,
7:30am Arizona time.
He doesn't like cats, but now's not the time to quibble.
He got a heart stress test on Wednesday. He didn't have any weird
symptoms and wasn't sent by a doctor; he just thought it would be
interesting. Well,...

the next 7 days, have to take her back next week to see how her gum has
