OT - First Wooly Worm of the season Spotted! by Magic Mood Jeep
Was leaving the house early this AM to take Rosie (long haired, pot-bellied cat) for her hair cut, and near the rear tire of the Jeep was my first-sighted wooly worm (http://www1.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/2292051/2/istockphoto_2292051_wooly_worm.jpg) of the season. The bands were...

How to put a cat in a carriet by MaryL
I took Holly and Duffy to TED today for routine exams. First, it was Holly's turn to go in the carrier. I always do this in the utility room with the door closed in case I have an escape artist on my hands. As I started to lower her into the carrier (which was placed "on end" so the open end...

I spritz'd her! by jmcquown
Persia got a blast of Duoxo spray this morning on her hind end and the base of her tail... to treat her dandruff. It says 2-3 times every 5 days and not to rub it in. So far she's not trying to lick it off but she definitely wondered what the hell I was doing. LOL Sure hope this helps with...

Cat meat improves your health !! by [email protected]
Since I started eating cat meat my health has GREATLY improved. I used to be skinny, weak, had very bad eyesight and an extremly tiny penis. But after I ate my first cat it started to get better. My body absorbed the "good meat" of the ones I ate and over time I became strong, my eyesight improved...

Pet Food by jofirey
We keep having discussions of various pet foods and ingredients they should or should not contain. I'm getting more and more concerned with just where those ingredients come from. I'm pretty sure I've got a handle on beef lamb chicken and fish. Though it seems the part of the animals as well...

Amber follows the sun. by ---MIKE---
During the middle of the day, the sun shines on the carpet in the living room. Amber leaves her (heated) window seat and likes to lie in the sun - following it as it moves. She starts to go to the usual spot even on cloudy days but doesn't stay there very long. ---MIKE--- In...

Smudge's trip to TED by [email protected]
Turns out Smudge had an abcessed wound on her chest. It has mostly drained since I first discovered it, at which time it was the size of an extremely large grape, or very small chicken egg. By the time I brought her to the vet today, it had gotten very small, but the fur at that spot was all matted...

Update on my Brother #2 (OT) by jmcquown
They finally moved Scott out of ICU late yesterday afternoon. He has two chest tubes in place and they said they didn't like the output so they kept him there longer than anticipated. (We speculated it was actually because they didn't have a room to move him to; that's happened to a lot of people...

Little Boy protects me by Mark Edwards
I was getting ready to take my shower this morning, and Little Boy was crying at me when I started to pull the shower curtain closed. As I stepped in, he cried even louder. I pulled the curtain closed all the way, and kept trying to reassure Little Boy, whose meows were getting frantic. I...

Thank you present by Adrian A
A friend of mine who can't set a VCR timer to save her life is always busy Wednesday evenings so misses two of her favourite programmes. I recorded them for her and put them on DVD, I never expected anything from her but was very touched to receive a thankyou present. It's a mug with a picture...

I'm back home :) by jmcquown
Persia's not so mad at me anymore and she actually ate some food (she'd ignored it the first night I was away). She's also not running to the closet because she thinks I'm leaving again. I'm not! I'll go back over for a visit with Scott on Sunday but I'm home the rest of today and tomorrow. I...

We has a name by tanadashoes
A word association prompted by Denise (Brenna's human) suggesting a character from the Darkover series by Marion Zimmer Bradley, led me to jokingly suggesting Lessa from Anne McCaffrey's Dragon Rider series, and then to Vanessa. We're sending off doves and lighting a fire to send off white smoke...

Update #3 on my Brother (OT and long) by jmcquown
Once again, hospital service sucks! They moved Scott from the ICU late yesterday to a regular room. They removed one of his chest tubes this morning and the catheter. He's still hooked to a heart monitor which is attached to something that looks like a small briefcase thing with lots of buttons...
