Flea allergies - and/or ringworm? by pah41071
I took a cat home on Sunday which someone found and brought to the vet at PetsMart. She was pretty much completely covered in scabs from what I thought was a flea-bite allergy. The vet at PetsMart looked her over and said she may also have ringworm but it seemed to me like the vet was more...

help with kittens? by Marjorie5
Hello! I'm looking for some advice or help. A cat has crawled under our car and had 4 kittens. We are not sure what to do. We don't want to keep them, and we don't want them to get hurt. Suggestions? I would rather not have to send them to the shelter, but don't know who else...

cats in need of foster home by Cat Protector
I think that is a fair deal that the rescue group is offering. Are they reliable and have good standing with the animal community? I would check them out to make sure. The client might also want to ask family members and friends that love cats to see if they can foster his cats until the house gets...

Wild Birds and kibble by [email protected]
Harmful? Not? All kinds of wild birds have been availing themselves of the kibble I leave for my feral colony. I know that processed human food is bad for wild birds because the salt therein can cause peptic ulcers. What about processed cat food? TIA for any reasoned, on topic response.

Feral cat and kitten by Ar Fai Ve
I discovered a feral cat and her kitten living under my deck last Monday. I fed them dry food outside a few times, and they immediately caught on to the pattern, and by Wednesday morning they were coming to my door to wait for the food. On Thursday, I used a live trap and caught them and took...

Kill Cat Documentary - SICK !! by SoulReaper
I remember reading about this in 2001 in the Ottawa Citizen. It was horrifying then as it was to know the festival or the city for htat matter would let such a thing be shown and call it "Freedom of expression". I have a feral colony of 32 cats i am caring for and have been doing rescues for over a...

Thanks Sharon - Thelma (aka Red Tongue) update by Wendy
I separated her from her more relaxed siblings last weekend and set her up in a small dog crate with a sheet covering three sides. We had kind of reached a plateau where she didn't like people but tolerated them if she had to so I figured I'd try starting over with her. I pretty much left her...

Animal lovers, please help me save these animals! by 67RMod
Human animals are not meat eaters. It's not in our DNA. If they were, they would be able to do what every other carnivore that has walked the earth over hundreds of millions of years can do, which is to eat meat raw without becoming sick and dying. Fool. We are omnivores, like I said. ...

I got 2 kittens to foster yesterday. They are both female. One is black and white the other all black. I'm guessing they are around 10 - 12 wks. Their mother was a ferile/stray? who got hit by a car late last week. The black cat has the brightest red tongue I've ever seen - not dark pink - red....
