Inhalant Allergies In Dogs And Cats by
[email protected]
Several objects in the environment can be inhaled by pets and can
trigger allergic reactions in dogs and cats. These objects induce the
cells of the pets to release substances such as histamine. With
histamine, the irritation begins.
The objects in the environment that cause this type of allergies...

It's too cold and wet out there! by
[email protected]
It's chilly and very rainy today, but Smudge went out anyway, and stayed
out for quite some time. She came back in about an hour ago, with water
droplets all over the ends of her long fur. She's been glued to me ever
since. In particular, she is glued to my *hands*. I can barely type
because she is...

Poll: cat's a talkers or not by
Ann
Are your cats talkers or are they quiet? Do they come looking for you and
talk to you? Do they sound different or the same?
Cinnamon and Abby talk more than Samwise. They all have something to say
when I'm getting there food ready.
Cinnamon and Abby will talk to me when they want attention or...

Purrs for Mithu by
Caroline S.
Mithu goes in for a dental cleaning tomorrow (Monday). He has had
"issues" with anesthesia in the past, although his last cleaning went
well. Purrs, please, for an easy time for him.
Cheers
Caroline

[OT] Curtain Tie Backs by
Jeanne Hedge
I've hung new curtains, and unlike the old ones, these came with
tie-backs that match the color/material of the curtains. I'm going to
start with these, and decide later if I want to change to something
else. I'm not planning on hanging the tiebacks themselves from
anything decorative.
My windows...

Such amazing reflexes by
Lesley
We have gold balls scattered all over our house...
Before anyone grabs a pick and declares "Dere's gold in them flats!"
they are rolled up gold foil from cigarette packets. Everytime we open
a new packet unless otherwise engaged (eating, on the box, sleeping,
washing etc) we will be watched by a...

Bloody RSPCA. by
[email protected]
I spoke to Sian the vet tech about the ferret this morning, to check
when I could collect him etc, etc as the RSPCA inspector who was to
collect ferrety boy was off yesterday.
Sian was spitting feathers when she spoke to me. It transpires that
one of the kennel workers where ferrety boy was being...

Purr for a D-Pet, please. :( by
Magic Mood Jeep
Max, our aging dog (14 - 15 years old), is in poor health. For the past
week, he's been hurking up about 1/2 of what he eats... and he's gotten to
the point where he can barely stand (he's unsteady, and ends up looking like
Bambi did the first time he walked on ice - unless Max is on carpeting,...

Dulce Mae wants her bird back by
Mark Edwards
A couple years ago, I got a big rubber vulture for my 50th birthday. It
sits atop the tall bookcase in our bedroom, so it can eat us if we die.
Tonight I had to move a few things around on top the bookcase. This
involved moving the vulture to the bed, where Bucky and Dulce Mae rested.
Bucky...

Frank and Lyle by
Outsider
As always movies and images at the links below.
They use pretty much all of their "stuff". They scratch on both polls and
climb one of them and they get up on all the shelves and catways and they
even play with the fish-pole toy with me and even with each other until
they get it hopelessly...

Lee Help by
Granby
Thank you! I went back through posts and did not get this one. Sounds like
he has a real ball. Hope he tells about the rest of his vacation, the parts
he can, if it wasn't on my "Bucket List" before, it is now. Of course you
know it was already there. I think the sting rays would creep me...

I didn't get the post about swimming with the critters, if you can find it
send it to me. Blasted D**M server, waited all that time and didn't get to
read about the adventure he had with the dolphins. Just hisses me off.

Sylvester, Melba, Star, O&C updates - all in one! by
Susan M[_3_]
Sylvester: He went to my SIL's dad's condo last night since Melba is in
recovery. He did the commando-cat slinking thing for about 6 minutes
and then turned into an exploring love-slut. Settled right in. They
called her dad later and Sylvester was all cuddled up on the couch with
him. He...

Neighbor Kitty by
Kreisleriana[_3_]
Like most cats, my guys love to lie around on the front window sill, and
watch the world go by. They usually do a little bickering for position,
then settle in. Well, over the past few days, they had been sitting there
absolutely riveted by something. When it finally crossed my mind how...

cat with a dog brain by
AZ Nomad
Mongo, our loud mouthed siamese housemate, in many ways acts like a dog.
Outside, he'll come if I call him. If I walk somewhere within a block of
the house like the pool, a neighbor, etc., he'll follow along about 10' behind
the whole way. When I was at an apartment complex, he used to walk with...
