Betsy RB - much sadness by Exocat[_2_]
I'm sorry to have to report the loss to heart disease of Betsy, the last surviving cat of Heather my lovely neighbour. George, her other owner, caught the same fatal virus as my Pericles 2.5 years ago and they passed at the same time. Betsy, aged just 12 so due to be here for longer, was a...

Was someone here saying their Senior cat yowls a lot? by jmcquown
Did I imagine it, or was someone posting about a senior cat yowling (apparently at nothing, for no reason)? Cat Fancy Magazine just had an article about feline cognizance disorder - akin to Altzheimers in humans and also "doggy dimentia". When felines grow older they often (it says) become...

The LOLCats Bible by [email protected]
No, this is not a bible for LOLCats - it's The Bible, written *in* LOLCat. Actually, it's a jpg of the first page of Genesis. So, if you think you'll be amused by it, feel free to click on the link. http://ulc.net/forum/uploads/monthly_07_2007/post-3919-1184860842.jpg Joyce

To our British friends by MaryL
I hope all of you and your masters are fine. I have been reading about flood waters in England. Reports say some area have had 60-year highs, with more rain forecast. I hope none of you have suffered any losses. MaryL

Water, Water, Everywhere... by MatSav
Much of the UK is getting to know what it must have felt like after Hurricane Katrina - without the wind damage, just the floods. No loss of life reported yet, thankfully - purrs, please for all the pets who may have been stranded. -- MatSav

Back after 2.5 weeks by sam
Been out of town visiting family with no Internet access for 2.5 weeks. No kidding. Of all of our family, only my son has Internet in any form (even dialup!) So I'll skim through the 2500+ posts I've missed. I hate to resort to blanket purrs, but that'll have to do this time. Can't even...

Flying feather toys by Takayuki
Buster is a real chewer when it comes to toys. You may remember he chewed off the streamers of his cat dancer, and even the end of his cat charmer. Karen's mentioning the "Feline Flyer" toy reminded me of his latest act of toy...

HELP HELP me too by Sherry
It's the chin acne. I have tried treating him at home. This is not working. One of the blackheads has become pus-filled and erupted into an abscess. So he *has* to go to the vet Monday. IMO he needs oral antibiotics at this point. But the chin itself is still going to have to be kept cleaned...

Island stories: Miranda's revenge by Marina
A few days after Caliban had fallen into the sea, Miranda took revenge on the swallows that had enticed him to fall in. We were taking our afternoon nap inside, when we suddenly heard a lot of chirping in the trees around my shack. Mir sat up and listened, then she zoomed outside to sort out...

Photos of the boys and Lacey by GaDragonfly
My father gave me a new camera for my birthday. My other camera is somewhat complex and while great for shooting birds and wildlife, etc it doesn't fall into the category of point n shoot. So now I have a point n shoot camera and of course I had to practice with the cats. If you are interested in...

Splash, the sea bitty... by [email protected]
2 friends of mine, Gus and Ryan, own and run a charter boat company in Cardiff. (If any of you have seen Torchwood, they work from the Quay that is just behind the Torchwood entrance). They had a massive black and white Maine coon cat called Sinbad, that Gus found as a kitten that had been dumped...

HEY MISS LILYWHISKERS! by Tanada
It's Qui Gun Kit here. I'se been channeling the fat wench and she just read that your hoomin is trying to be adopted by a d-thing. It is a gurl collee thing and could take her away from you. Organize, prepare your fellow owners, react, make her aware that even if she gets the d-thing called...

Get-home-Fluffy purrs please by Baha via CatKB.com
My friend Olive has had a month of evil. Two weeks ago her daughter had her 3rd miscarriage. Last night her roomie's car got repo'ed and in that hustle their dear little kitty Fluffy escaped. Lydia, the daughter, is kicking herself; I'm afraid she'll do worse. She said having that little cat there...
