Help needed for cat with hard stool and wheezing by
[email protected]
I am desperate to find out what is wrong with my almost 4 year old
spayed female. She has been to the vet more than a dozen times and
they have not been able to tell me what is wrong with her. Currently
she is wheezing, has a limp occasionally, and very hard stool. The
stool is also spiral...

fleas by
Ralph
My 17 year old cat (DSH), living in a basement apartment, now has her first
case of fleas. Likely she's had them for a while, but I saw the first one
while combing her Friday.
I got some "Zodiac spot on", and applied it yesterday, and already she's
more comfortable, and scratched bare spots...

Your FeLV+ cat had nothing to do with your deceased cat's death.
It's good to have that possibility eliminated; especially
since two others of my seven remaining cats also were
exposed to the FeLV+ stray tomcat.

I have a busines to help find your lost pet by
rollerpuppy
I’ve had this idea for a while and after being out of work for over a
year (after 30 years of environmental consulting), I decided to take a
shot at my own business to make a living. (It’s me versus my
dwindling IRA in a race to succeed and save the house, keep the kids
in their activities, etc....

New cat or not? by
jamina1
Hello!
Recently in March my cat Sylvanas passed away. At that time, my other
cat, Pagan, had been in the house for about 7 months, and they were
finally starting to get along and play with each other instead of just
giving each other dirty looks. They were even sharing the bed with me
at night...

Sub-q fluids question/problem by
M.S.
I need help. I was giving my cat subcutaneous fluids (as instructed by
my vet) and the cat started to squirm around. The needle came out
about 10 seconds after I started the drip. Is it ok to re-insert the
needle? This happened about 90 minutes ago. I attempted to call the
vet but I keep getting a...

Diabetic cat and insulin by
Richard Evans
Ripley, our grand old man, is 17 and has been diabetic for a number of
years. He's on Glargine insulin, 1.5 units in the morning and another
1.5 at night. He's been stable for quite some time. The last couple of
weeks, though, he has been having wild swings in sugar levels: 30 to
400 in the same...

apology by
calvin
No one is going to say it's all right, and they shouldn't.
Only time will make things better if my behavior is better.
But an apology still should be made. To Matthew, Phil P,
'cybercat', MLB, and any others whom I offended, I'm sorry
for my behavior in the threads about interferon, and...

Other Bengal owners coping with inappropriate urination? by
Brian Link
At first we looked for the usual suspects - bladder infection,
misdirected pain, anxiety. Then we discovered it may just be the
breed, who (bless their little hearts) haven't made the move to
domestication that well.
My first tip-off was a correspondence with Tammy Quist, who runs The
WildCat...

We have a considerable amount of clumping litter that has spilled

best way to remove dried-up clay-like clumps that have attached
themselves to the carpet?
I am thinking about vacuuming up any loose litter and then wetting...

Euthanasia Time for our Cat :( by

Well, It's time now. Our cat Amber (for anyone who followed my
previous thread) is going to be euthanized tomorrow.
She seems ready now, no spunk left, tired look, diareah (just started
yesterday), etc. No full meals for 23 days. Little bites of food here
an there through the days, that's it. Was...

CRF (Metacam related), diabetes insipitus and psychogenic polydipsia by
Peter Georgeu
Hello All,
In December of last year I told you of my cat who went in for a dental
cleaning, tooth extraction and the biopsy of a lump. The cat was given
an overdose of Metacam 0.4 mg/kg as opposed to 0.2 mg/kg but this was
discovered soon afterwards and she was put on an IV for 24 hours.
Just...
