Gramps "magic" ice-cream {a story of the great depression} by
Sharon Scharf[_2_]
As I said before I was born in Georgia in the 20's. When I was 5
years
old My mother used to leave me with Granny and Gramps when she went
to
work bottling bathtub gin at the local speakeasy. Me and Gramps had
a
game we played when Granny went to the market. All I had to do was
poopy in a bowl for...

We had to say goodbye to Boo by
cybercat
It was a tumor that had grown into her jaw bone, and the bone was necrotic.
Again, I am amazed at the way cats can hide pain. She scampered and
frolicked and was her usual self even for part of yesterday. The vet said
that these types of tumors are almost always fatal, and that our only option...

How do you spoil your kitty? by
LauraM[_2_]
I'm just curious...how do you spoil your cat(s)?? It's fun to hear
how others dote on their furry friends. For me, I put Hobbes on his
back in my lap (which he loves) and pet his tummy while I'm kissing
his ears. He literally "squeaks" (kind of a half-snore) with delight
and will not get down...

What is Mesothelioma by
faizy
Mesothelioma
Malignant mesothelioma is the most serious of all asbestos-related
diseases. Although uncommon, mesothelioma is no longer considered
rare. Mesothelioma is a cancer that is particulary difficult for
doctors to diagnose and one that does not respond well to therapy.
The chest cavity,...

Continued surprises with Meep by
jmc
Well, recently she went to the cardio and we found out she did not have
a cardiomyopathy like had been diagnosed before.
Today she went in for a dental and x-rays of her back end - we fully
expected the two big upper molars to be pulled. The x-rays were to
assess the status of her hind legs,...

Did you see this link yet? It's a Canadian classic which discourages

it's lucky we love 'em by

Because cats can drive you crazy. Ming seems to get into a
non-eating mode once or twice a year. Of course, I start thinking
about crystals and blockages, and I also start worrying about
fatty liver disease.*
I have dragged Mingy to the vet's (not good, because Ming is a
very shy cat and...

For those of you who've followed Shamrock's skin problems over the years
might be interested in this. The first few years he had flare-ups on many
parts of his body. After some time and several different types of

Mourning doves by
James
I found out why Pussy is spending so much time at that window. It
seems a pair of Mourning doves are often visiting outside. The doves
probably can't see inside because they don't fly off when she jumps up
there. I played a clip of Mourning dove call and she jumped up to the
window.
If I'm...
