Update: Ceasar, has his forever home! by Debra
Ceasar, the stray tuxedo cat we had to take to the local Humane Society in mid-May, has been adopted! Someone paid a whopping adoption fee of $80.00 to take him home from the Humane Society's adoption point in PetSmart on July 11th. ...

Pics and purrs by Marina
This is the last day of my sick leave, and I've been trying to rest my hands, but we have been reading and sending purrs all the while. Snapped some new pics; the 'catwalk' in the enclosure seems to be a good napping spot, despite being so narrow (first 4...

A rescuer friend of mine on another list had a housefire the night before last and lost everything on Saturday morning. Apparently it was an electrical fire. Please could she have some serious purrs that she can trap the remaining cats safely? Thanks Helen M Permission to cross-post granted...

Ping Yoda's Dad by CatNipped
I usually remember these things, but I can't for the life of me remember who on this list has a cat named Yoda. I was at LOL Cats (I posted a couple of pictures there myself) when I found this: http://www.lolcats.com/view/9754/ Really cute! Here's the latest I've submitted: (I can't find it...

warning to saxophone playing kitten photographers by Jack Campin - bogus address
If you attempt to take a picture of a cute little ginger kitten sitting in the bell of your sax: - it is obviously a good idea to stuff something down the bell to stop the kitten getting its feet caught in the toneholes (I used a ball of silk-covered quilt batting I'd made as a pull-through...

WEER IN DA MOVEES!!! by Kreisleriana[_2_]
I finally got around to using the video doohickey on my digital camera-- I'm new at this, so the quality isn't very good--- but anyway, here you are, with Stinky for a little close-up interaction. Of course, Dante has to try to butt...

Paulette-kitty's brother! by Cantate
Went down to the vegetable store this evening (30-second walk) and there was an elderly lady cuddling a kitten that looked exactly like Paulette would look if her background tabby had been bleached to light grey. Same face, same dark-grey paw pads (Eeeek! thud) and same long tail with a little...

Small, but very close, earthquake by [email protected]
There was a little earthquake here last night, just after midnight. I finally read the report about it tonight, on the US Geological Survey site. It was a mere 3.2, a baby among earthquakes. I was surprised it was that small, because it felt strong to me. The reason for that? I was only one...

Two Headed Kitten? (not really) by Sherry
Here's some new pics of the babies at 9 weeks old. Still no luck finding them homes. Look at this pic and tell me, how can anyone NOT want them? http://thumb0.webshots.net/t/64/464/5/24/95/2935524950101618540vpzDcj_th.jpg Sherry

DOH! by CatNipped
Da Boyz have the very hard and fast held philosophy about food and treats. Their motto is, "Eat everybody else's food first and then go back for your own." It makes it very hard to give out treats to all the cats fairly. I have to play referee and grab at two little orinj streaks, take them...

A good recipe to cook cats? by [email protected]
I like to eat cats and I must admit that Angora cats are very edible and incredibly yummy and it's time to cook and eat as many of them as possible. Yummy ! Tasty ! Should I roast them on a spit, bake them in a oven, boil them in a pot, butcher them for parts or eat them raw ?

Had a very weird cat dream by jmcquown
Okay, Persia is adorable but let's face it, she's fat (despite getting strictly measured amounts of food per day and absolutely no treats or people food). I had a strange dream that someone shaved off her fur and it turned out she only weighed 6 lbs. When I woke up I had to check to make sure...

Strange! by CatNipped[_2_]
The big cat tree we just bought is the first scratching post that Sammy has ever been able to stretch upwards on. She likes to scratch on sisal but every scratching post in the house is about 3 feet too short for her to stretch fully, vertically. The sisal post on the new tree, however, goes...

The purrs have worked - thank you! by [email protected]
Cara is very definitely on the mend. :) The vet told me that her blood tests showed that she had an elevated white blood cell count which was indicative of infection, but her biochemistry was fine. :) He also said that the mass they felt on Sunday couldn't be felt today, and it was probably trapped...

What size are your cats? by Karen AKA Kajikit
I thought Silver and Scouty were fairly average-sized felines, okay a bit on the chubby side, but nothing extraordinary... The vet didn't seem alarmed when they had their annual checkups (though as usual he commented on how incredibly muscular and strong Scouty is!) But from a few other posts it...
