snail bait danger by
NancyJ
The snail bait I just bought lists a warning not to use when pets are around
as they may eat it. Will cats eat this? If so, is it dangerous to them?
thx

Kittens with tremors - Long Story by
Rhonda
Sharon told me about this newsgroup, so I thought I'd post our situation.
We took in a stray cat who turned out to be very pregnant. She delivered
5 live babies, and 1 that was not born alive.
I noticed one kitten seemed less coordinated or weaker than the others
at 2 weeks old. From then on, I...

Obtaining a Persian-like cat by
Igor Schein
Hi,
First of all - sorry for cross-posting, I am not sure which of the 3
groups is the most appropriate. I am looking to get a cat for my
grandparents. I like Persian, Himalayan and Exotic. However, I am
looking to spend much less than breeders usually charge for
purebloods, since I am not so...

Colony feral found dead by
[email protected]
I care for a feral colony at work. The colony includes about 28 cats,
all trapped/tested/vaccinated and fixed.
Today I found one of my brood in the parking lot, dead. She was a true
feral, never a bit socialized except knowing who brought the food and
where he put it. I'd known her for over three...

cat poisen by
JOSH
Is there a over the counter drug or chemical or off the shelf item that can
be added to bait where a cat would still eat it that would poisen them or at
least make them very sick.

Should I take her back to the vet? by
Nord Stjern
It's been pretty much business as usual around my house, until I took
in my last foster cat.
Mina was turned in at my vet with the request 'euthanize as we are
moving out of state'. Mina is two years old, so the vet called me to
ask whether I could take her and put her up for adoption. They...

Cat hunter by
Mermaid
About 2 months ago I rescued a stray cat that came to my house. She is very
loving and sweet but we need to keep her outside because we have a bird. And
another reason is she is an avid hunter for which I would not like to see my
bird a meal.. In the last 2 days she has caught and eaten 2...

Another cat saved by declawing. by
He Who Walks
My cat (DQB) had been tearing up my furniture (as well as my patience)
by clawing everything, particularly when I would have to be being out
of town for two or three days at a time.
My friends Ken and Kathy told me about the success they had with
declawing their equally destructive cat so I...

Cat hair, long, short shorter by
Aimee S
This may sound silly, but I am wondering if anyone has checked this out.
From my experince, with cats, it seems like cats with really short hair
are more hyper than cats with short but fluffy thicker hair. Seems like
the longer hair the cat has, the more mellow the cat is. I'm sure this
isn't ALL...

new litter going on 4 weeks by

They all weight around a lb. The two boys are drinking their formula from a
bowl. Share isn't in their vocabulary. I have to give them separate bowls as
they drink with their front legs spread eagle over the bowl as if to protect
what is theirs. The girls show no interest in the bowl and insist on...
