[OT] More Ivan Purrs

Hurricane Ivan appears to be done with Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.
The latest forecast issued late Sunday afternoon has it turning north,
tracking across western Cuba, into the Gulf of Mexico, and making
landfall somewhere between New Orleans, Louisiana and Punta Gorda,
Florida.

OR it could continue moving west and hit Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula
(where Tropical Storm Warnings are currently out).

Ivan has a mind of his own.

Purrs to everyone in its path, wherever they may be.

My mother, brothers, one daughter, granddaughters, aunts, uncles, nieces,
nephews, cousins - my entire family except my son and my other daughter live
in New Orleans. I'm sending especially intense purrs that all remain safe
and dry, New Orleans is an especially dangerous place to be during a
hurricane since it is entirely *below* sea level and if the levees break -
well I don't want to go there, it's too frightening.

Hugs,

This storm is just outrageous. But I read they evac'd 500,000 in Cuba. I
have to wonder, where the hell did they go?

Blessings and purrs going out to all in the path of this monster.

Adding purrs for all those in Ivan's path - whichever way he decides
to go. As for Cuba, I saw a clip that was saying that they had opened
up a lot of formerly secret bomb shelters for people to take refuge.
Course it'd have to be pretty extenive network of shelters to make a
dent in those kind of numbers.
