I fail to see what Blair has to do with it; it's his wife who allegedly
disliked cats. Yet there she is holding the cat and smiling in a photo-op.
Face it, the cat was 18 years old and had been adopted by a "civil servant"
(make that, catslave!). 18 is a pretty ripe old age.

Cherie Blair got rid of Humphrey in 1997 within a week of moving into
number 10. Cherie Blair is a money grabbing waste of space, as is her
husband.

Winston Churchill was a far better guy. In his home, Chartwell, he used
to have a marmalade tom cat called Jock. In fact, he had 3 cats. "Cat"
(see Grace Hamblin, Churchill Proceedings 1987) once ran away after
Churchill had shouted at him. WSC asked Miss Hamblin to put a sign in
the window: "Cat, come home, all is forgiven." Cat returned, and was
plied with luxury food parcels. "Nelson," a black feline, lived at
Number Ten during WW2. Churchill said he made a contribution to the war
effort "by serving as a prime ministerial hot water bottle." "Jock,"
given to WSC by private secretary Jock Colville, was on Churchill's bed
when he died in 1965 and remained at Chartwell until his death in 1974.
He has since been succeeded by identical marmalade toms: Jock II; and
Jock III, the present Lord Warden of the Cinque Mouseholes.

Blair could learn a thing or two from Churchill, instead of being an
arogant lying scumbag warmongering Bush puppet.

Is that Mrs. Blair? I assumed it was the person who adopted
him. (And the article says Humphrey was "evicted by
"current resident Tony Blair".)

As an American, I say "Right on, Helen!" I used to think Blair was an
okay guy (ten years ago, anyway). I'm sorry he's turned into Dubya's
poodle, and sorry the UK therefore got dragged into the mess that is
Iraq along with us. REALLY sorry!

But you know, maybe Humphrey was better off living with people who
appreciated him, instead of with unappreciative politicians. =o)

But you know, Helen, we'll never make any progress if you keep your
true feelings all bottled up! =o)
