LOL Some folks really go all out. Personally I wouldn't want to see the
electric bill. Wouldn't want to see the electric bill for some of the
outlandish Christmas decorations that people put up, either. (Think Chevy
Chase in 'Christmas Vacation').

I *usually* do a tasteful Autumn themed thing by my front door, not specific
to Halloween. Natural decorations. Some interesting gourds, sometimes a
sheaf of cornstalks. I don't carve pumpkins but I'd set a small one out.
On the unnatural side (lol) I have a couple of small really cute mesh
"lanterns" in the shape of acorns that hold tea-light candles. (Yes, I keep
an eye on those when I burn them.) Unfortunately this year's financial
situation hasn't allowed me to do this. The acorn lanterns just don't have
the same effect all by their lonesome :(
