pet food recall

Just read this on a local news web site

the article along in case anyone buys this food. Pass it on to others who
might benefit...

Pet Food Sold In Washington Recalled

POSTED: 2:39 p.m. PDT October 24, 2003

A Canadian company is recalling bags of Petcurean Go! Natural pet food sold
in several cities in the western United States.

The company says it launched the recall after a report that a batch of food
made at a plant in Texas could be related to reports that 14 dogs and cats
became ill and seven died.

The company says all of the suspect food has been removed from store shelves
and consumers are urged to return any of the food they have on hand to the
store for a refund or replacement.

Petcurean Go! Natural pet food was sold in 4-, 8-, 12- and 30-pound bags in
stores in greater San Diego, Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay area, as
well as metropolitan Seattle and Denver.

The company said it is testing the recalled food to determine if there is a
problem. Production in Texas has been discontinued.

Buyers who have questions concerning recalled product can call Michele Dixon
at Petcurean, 866-864-6112, extension 104.
