Prince is awakened early by a sneeze

With a startled movement he accidently knocks 3 kitties over. One he's
never seen before giggles and signs, sorry. I sneezed.

Ears a bit pinker than normal he shyly admits all his hard work at the
harvest moon fest made Prince smell a bit 'doggy'. Would you like a
nice bath in the lake? All the local doggies say it is very nice and
the fish don't bite.

Prince grins and relates some favorite memories of him and Josh at the
boardwalk in Virginia Beach and playing in the surf together. Before
he gets up, he checks carefully so he doesn't knock anyone else over.
Another kitty sneezes. She's curled as much as she can about a very
large belly, obviously soon to have kittens. The faint cool air from
the door was blocked by his forelegs.

Good morning young lady! You have mai paw trapped. Could you let it
up? (one of her paws has landed over his in her sleep). Giggling, she
gracefully removes it and he gets up and follows the other towards he
lake. He is joined by a few of the local dogs. Mostly from abandoned
ones from tourists but they are all bright eyed and happy. Most of them
are second or 3rd generation mixes. One lady is at her season and eyes
Prince then laughs and shys away. He grins, she looks like a daucshund
met a toy poodle then later a miniature pug. Cute as a button but way
too small... Still he steps spritely along the path to a bath.

They hand him a backpack and he notes they all have one.

They pass a hot spring on the way and 2 kittahs drop towels there then
make up a small spread with baskets of breakfast. When they come back,
the kittahs will enjoy a warm steam bath on the ledges while the
doggies relax in the warm water.

Prince follows the others to the lake. It looks to be about 1.5 miles
across and a little longer. It's fed by a smallish waterfall to the
north and outlets to a small stream to the south east away from them.
Every now and then, a fish jumps to catch a flying insect or perhaps
just with the joy of life!

He sees the doggies set out curious loose nets. He can tell most fish
will be able to escape. He asks one that looks a bit like a shi tszu
matched with chinese crested hairless what is up? She explains, 'we do
not want to catch the babies or the young breeders, only the older ones
past breeding or who have bred many times. With care, it is an ever
renewing resource.'

Prince wades in with them with a corner of the net. It sounds like
work but they make fun with with trying to splash paws just like a fish
jumping and stuff like that. They swim out about 200 yards and come
back with a noticibly heavier net and pull it in afer a few shakes to
let any little ones free.

They load their catch into the backpacks then jump back into the water
to have a party, splashing all they want. Finally clean and happy, they
shake off (well away from the few cats who came to the lake) and don
the back pack and head back. They stop at the hot pool and gingerly
enter, the smaller dogs on the edge ledges only a few inches deep to
the deeper ones. Even Prince doesnt fit the 2foot ones if relaxed in
the water so uses a 2foot toddler one he can lay down in with his nose
along a dry shelf.

Quietly they all take a 'cat' nap. Like all cat naps, it can feel like
an eternity due to how bonelessly relaxed they are, but actually be
10-15 minutes. Either way, they waken and stir and the backpacks are
still flopping as they head back.

They head to the communal kitchen which is just stirring to life and
provide the backpacks. It's enough for the village for the day.
