just crap. As the OP hasn't posted again you're almost certainly right. I don't think so. Look at Google Groups and you find three posts from "shony" at about the same time, to a selection of groups that might well be what a newbie who didn't know a thing about Usenet would try. A spammer would have hit far more. My bet is that it was an innocent mistake from somebody used to the kind of web forum where a nondescript message introducing yourself is the way you join, and who didn't realize that Usenet is fundamentally different. Shony, if you're still reading, welcome and tell us about your cats. ============== j-c ====== @ ====== purr . demon . co . uk ============== Jack Campin: 11 Third St, Newtongrange EH22 4PU, Scotland | tel 0131 660 4760 http://www.purr.demon.co.uk/jack/ for CD-ROMs and free | fax 0870 0554 975 stuff: Scottish music, food intolerance, & Mac logic fonts | mob 07800 739 557 |

"Hiiiiiiiii" isn't a serious post; it's just crap. And besides she only posted a menu. Wasn't accusing or anything. We had the absolute best fish for dinner tonight. Fresh stripped bass, as in caught this morning, dipped in batter and deep fried. With coleslaw and fresh french fried potatoes. Jo |
