Oh no, sounds like another case of voles becoming endagered - or
possible exticnt. As I remember, voles are extinct on Marina's Island,
with water voles on the endagered list.

well with Nikki in Finland, Bono in Sweden and Waffles in the UK I guess
the vole population in Northern Europe is under control ...

But seriously, I don't think Bono is very likely to put anything on the
endangered list - even if he did play with one until it's batteries ran out
last year ...
He might catch one, carry it to the door and put it down, whereupon the
little mousie scampers back to where it came from, no worse for wear ... If
the voles and shrews I "know" are in any danger it's mostly caused by
themselves, they are *so* careless around both people and pets.
A couple of years ago one decided my bed was a warm, good place and snuggled
up against my leg under the cover ... I carried it out in a tissue paper and
put it on the steps to a shed (no cats around), 10 minutes later I checked
and it was still lying there ... but after a little while I saw a friend of
his come get him and they were off ...
I do think the could do with some survival/self-defence training ...
