I often walk into the house, and Sccoter and Baby are somewhere, but
Nipsy comes up to me and whines. And whines some more. I never know
what he wants. I give him food, treats, a petting, a brushing. I just
don't know.

That is obviously very frustrating. Best wishes for him not to be in pain.

I remembered something else. Maybe a month ago, I came in and found
that the whole den was covered in blood. Not a big pool or anything
like that, but spots of blood that really covered a good part of the
floor. Luckily it's tile so cleans up easily but I couldn't figure out
where it came from.

None of the cats had anything noticeable, so I figured that maybe they
had really taken apart a lizard, but I never saw a lizard body. The
cats do eat them sometimes.

So I guess that was Nipsy trying to scratch that ear. I once had a cat
named Jackie that was ripping her ear apart because there was a tumor
growing in it, so perhaps this is the same thing.

I hope it isn't bothering him all the time. We'll see how the steroid
and antibiotic do.
