I didn't. I sent Vernon off ahead to go home & return with car and
cat carrier.

Wow, this boy really *wanted* to be rescued, to wait with you while
Vernon went home and came back!

I'm so happy you found his people! They must be so relieved, not to
mention surprised - I'll bet that after two months, they must have
started to give up.
