I like kittens Too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everybody likes kittens. The problem is too many people get rid of their
kittens before they become adult cats or before they become a elderly
cats. I think one of the reasons is because they don't want to watch
them die.

Adopting a pet is even a bit more of a responsibility than a marriage. When my wife and I adopted our most recent rescue at 8 weeks (5.5 years ago) we made arrangements with the kids to take all our animals should we go. We were in our young 60s then, and a cat is a +/- 20 year commitment these days.

After the cuteness of kittenhood passes, many people will abandon
cats. I find this to be especially true of longhairs as they need a
lot of care as far as grooming is concerned.

Over the decades, I have rescued two longhairs from the streets, and
they were both in dreadful condition with filthy, matted hair. With
proper care and love, they both turned out to be beautiful cats and
were a pleasure to have.
