It being January, this is already dated. But I thought you might
find this amusing anyway. And it happened right in your town! http://nancykayshapiro.livejournal.com/35633.html (Whoever else wants to can look, too. ) Joyce -- To send email to this address, remove the triple-X from my user name. |

Gawd, I hope not. Around here, it's more likely to get a "WTF!!?" and a laugh, even from the misunderstood "target audience." At least Ms. Shapiro was amused by it. |

I was thinking of people shopping there, some could have felt their religion was being insulted. -- Adrian (Owned by Snoopy & Bagheera) Cats leave pawprints on your heart http://community.webshots.com/user/clowderuk |

That shop is in my town. |

Did you see that she created some Cafepress tchotchkes with those photos on them? You can now buy a mug, an apron, and even greeting cards sporting the photos. Apparently this gaffe caused great amusement among a number of people. I suppose some people might have been insulted, especially if they thought the store was doing it on purpose. I can't imagine any reason they would do that, though. All they succeeded in doing was embarrassing themselves. It got a fair amount of coverage, actually. I was thinking of people shopping there, some could have felt their religion was being insulted. I think they all understood it was a mistake on the part of the market. I also know a lot of (non-orthodox) Jews who don't worry about the "no pork" restrictions anymore. Just like many Catholics no longer worry about adhering to the no meat only fish on Friday rule.
