Default Kenzie is sick(er) again

I've spent 6 hours working on this 10 year old computer; it crashed or
failed to boot up at least 20 times.

The only way I got it to boot up is to use a DOS boot-up disk, and then
start the computer from the DOS prompt. The operating system and boot up
sequence must be badly damaged.

Kenzie is sick(er) again. When I got home, she had thrown up all the
food she ate. And she had eaten very little. Not from eating it too
fast, or too much; all the food was in a paste. No unchewed kibble bits.
I think it had been in her stomach for awhile. Then a little later I
saw her throwing up clear fluid, again. Small pools, 2 of them, of
clear, frothy fluid.

I gave her her liquid antibiotic, and some hairball goo. I hope it stays
down

I'm afraid to give Kenzie her Tapazole dose; since I think that is what
is upsetting her tummy. She refused to eat the sardine treat I gave her

That is NOT a good sign. Two doses of Tapazole, and she's SO sick
again.

She seemed so good last night (Wednesday) when I got home from work. She
was behaving completely normal. She even jumped up in my lap.

Damn, so much for my very expensive vet visit on Wednesday. I'm going to
call TED's office when it opens in the morning, and see what they say.

I just hate seeing my Kenzie so sick. And there's nothing I can do for
her

I am not counting on this computer working tomorrow; I'm lucky I got it
working, at all, tonight.

Purrs appreciated, of course. Thank you

Sounds plausible. Nausea and vomiting are listed as possible side
effects in the people data sheet for it.

Poor little thing. I hope you find something that works for her
quickly.

Have they checked her liver enzymes? I don't want to scare you but
this is how it started with Tigger. Prayers that it is just the
medicine that is making her tummy upset.

Many purrs from the Fairfax Fur Factory for Kenzie to feel better
soon! My Shadow cat (RB) had to take Tapazole, and sometimes had
issues when the dosage was altered. Hopefully Kenzie is just having
an initial reaction to the medication, and can be stabilized soon.
Our TED throttled back on his dosage, and gradually worked him up
to the proper levels.

One of my mother's cats, Mattie, has thyroid problems as well, though I
can't recall if she's hyper or hypo. She has an ointment that she or my
father can rub on Mattie's ears...seems to absorb better without such
a drastic impact.

Purrs for Kenzie, for you, and for your ailing computer aggravations.

I don't know what to say but, I do know how you are feeling. Lewi about
drove us nuts because there just seemed to be nothing we could do for him
and yet the kids were spending money at the vets. He is doing better now
gut it was touch and go for awhile.

Purrs and prayers for the both of you from here.

Hi Gandalf - In case you can read this, other things to ask your vet - if
she's nauseated which it sounds like she is what about an anti-nausea med?
Another thing I remember with Tucker is that they had me give him 1/4 tablet
of Pepcid to help settle his stomach. Would giving her sub-q fluids help
either at the vet or if you can learn to do it at home; it isn't that hard
to do. (If you can get her to quit being nauseated maybe she'll eat and/or
can use an appetite stimulant.)

I'm so sorry - huge purrs coming for ya'll.
