Garfield the movie
I went to see the new Matrix movie today and saw a poster for Garfield
the Movie. This was news to me but an internet search said it started filming back in March and Bill Murrey was doing the voice of Garfield. No release date or anything but it is supposed to be live action, I am guessing like Scooby Do was. |

I Googled "Garfield" and "movie" and came up with this site - http://www.garfieldmovie.com/home.html - which says it will be out next year and that the official site is yet to be launched. Can' wait. I'll bet he can. Speaking of fun movies, I saw "Elf" this afternoon. It is absolutely delightful, even if it doesn't have any cats in it. ;-) Joy |

(in message ): So, how was the Matrix movie? I enjoyed it. Aside from everything else it is a visual treat. The defense of Xion alone is probably worth the price of admission. Its better than the second one thats for sure. Better than the first, maybe, maybe not. Depends on the person. The first was new and awesome, but really it was one idea on the nature of reality. The third is awesome in its visuals but it is not new. I think in its own way it is both deeper and shallower. There is some subtle stuff in it and some really big explosions. It raps things up but does leave the door wide open for another movie. I don't want to ruin the movie by saying how it is resolved and it was not the ending I expected but thinking back to some scenes in the second it probably was the only resolution that really was practical. The best explanation of the 3 movies I have heard was the first was about birth, the second life and the third death. Which thinking on the second movie as life made me apreciate the second a lot more and I can finally understand what the hell that rave scene was doing there even if I still don't like it. |

Its better than the second one thats for sure. I hope so! I really liked the first one, so went to the second one with high expectations. It was really boring. The first was new and awesome, but really it was one idea on the nature of reality. The third is awesome in its visuals but it is not new. Oh, that's too bad. I know a lot of people like this movie because of the visuals, but for me what made the first one fun was the whole "nature of reality" thing. The idea of waking up in this ship and saying, "Where am I", and having someone say, "The important question is not *where* you are, but *when*." Joyce |
