Default Sleepy head

Tony and I were in bed and he was sound asleep. I like to put my head
on his chest - which usually wakes him up and makes him start purring.
This time he stayed sound asleep and I got treated to the sound of his
heart beat loud and clear THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP and his breathing.
With him being eleven years old now, the nice loud, steady heartbeat
sounded so nice and his good breath sounds too. I worry a lot that he
is getting old and could start his downward spiral anytime. But for
now, his coat is healthy, his muscles are strong - he is stronger than
either of the younger cats by a large margin, his teeth are healthy, and
he is just doing well. My Mr. Obnoxious. He still chases greeblings -
lately it has been book greeblings when I am trying to read. I love
seeing his eyes dilate so big so I almost don't mind that I don't get to
read my book!

I've missed your posts, Bridget. Welcome back!
We are purring and sending lots of best wishes for Tony and you to be
together for a very long time,

Awwww... Tony's a sweetie I love that large-pupil look, too! It's
almost impossible to tell what colour Persia's eyes are when she gets all
excited like that.

She found a "hoppy bug" (wolf cricket) http://tinyurl.com/yqqyu
near her litter box last night and had a big time chasing it around in the
hallway. I love it when she goes into stalking mode because it tells me
she's full of life.

These critters routinely invade my bathroom areas when it starts to get cold
outside. All I have to do is yell "Persia! Hoppy Bug!" and she comes
running looking for the bug. They are disgusting creatures but at least
they don't "chirp" like field crickets do when I'm trying to drift off to
sleep. And Persia found this one in the hallway all on her own!

EWWWW. That's a little too colorful for my taste.

Does she eat them?
