I *LURVE* Firefly (science fiction show long cancelled). They're showing a
Firefly marathon on the Science channel today. I doubly *LURVE* the star
(who now plays in "Castle" which I also *LURVE*). He just rings my bell
like a fricking gong (and that's hard to do now-a-days)

Any other science fiction buffs here a fan of the show?

I have liked the episodes I have seen. I knew about the marathon but
had other things I had to do. But I have "on demand" and I hope they
are available later on in the week.

Science is a different network than the scifi channel.

Firefly is one of the best sci-fi tv series ever. Too bad FOX couldn't or
wouldn't keep it on it's schedule.

When you add in male hotness, it is *THE* best sci-fi show ever made!!! ;

Of course if it were still on Nathan Fillion wouldn't be playing "Castle"
and that's a pretty good show too - he's still hot as ever. Of course, had
I my preferences he'd still be playing Captain Mal. And that would mean
Sean Maher would still be playing Simon - yum.

Somebody, hose me down already!!! I've OD'd on Firefly! ;

I haven't gotten around to watching it yet, but I was told by a very wise
person that I "must watch this show". I tried watching the first episode a
while back, but it began with some military scene that put me off. I'll
give it another try soon.

Have you seen Dollhouse? Another cancelled sci fi show that used to be on
Fox, I think. Eliza Dushku plays the main character and Summer Glau guest
stars in a few episodes. Absolutely spectacular. It's a good show, too

Good lord, yes!! Nathan Fillion can come to my house ANY day,
believe me. We watched the existing Castle via Netflix and now
are impatiently awaiting the release of the season 3 discs.

We own Firefly and we (and often, our friends) will do Firefly
marathons :-) No broadcast TV, so we depend on the DVDs.

Are there other SF programs you watch? We are starting Season 4
of Bablyon 5, fell in love with it and have been plowing through
the discs as fast as Netflix will let us. A dear friend just
loaned us the Stargate movie, and the first season DVDs. We've
never watched it before, so don't know how the quality will be.

Nice to know I'm not the only weirdo!

Deborah
currently owner-less :-(

That was one I tried to get into but I didn't care for that one. The
military scene on the premiere of Firefly was just the "set-up and ends
fairly quickly. If you have it on tape just fast forward through it it just
shows why Captain Mal is an "outlaw" to the Alliance.
