cat sensitivity/awareness
I have two cats, Kiki is my older female, Kitty is my younger larger
male. Among lots of other things to climb on, Kiki has a (single occupant) loft way up high. Maybe once a day she climbs up their for a nap. When Kiki is about two thirds of the way up there, she usually pauses to look out the window or just contemplate her next jump. During that time, Kitty begins to make short faint whining/chirping/crying sounds (usually just once or twice). When he does that, he is looking at her in a funny/longing way. Anyway, it's seems kind of strange. Kiki doesn't like Kitty. After two years, she has almost stopped trying to scratch his eyes out. Still, I guess he likes her enough to whimper when she goes up and away to her loft. It's puzzling because before she goes up there, they aren't interacting in any noticeable way and she is an actually leaving. |

Sorry, I meant to write:
... she [isn't] actually leaving. |

My male cat will occassionally do this to my female as well. I think it is sort of a jealousy thing. Anyway, it's seems kind of strange. Kiki doesn't like Kitty. I know a lot of the hissing and spitting between my two is for efffect - they actually will sleep together and groom each other when we are not around. Is it possible that he would like to get up there too and knows he can't? -L. |

Trying to control what others post simply doesn't work while Internet service providers promote/allow free speech, so we have to cope somehow or remain locked in a pointless never ending struggle. Maybe that struggle to control strengthens the ego, but more likely it's just tactless mental masturbation. Have fun. |
