Default Do Your Cats Eat Less When It's Very Hot?

My 4 seem to. It's been pretty hot here in the Seattle area,
around 90 for the last few days.
They get one can of Friskies Beef in the morning about 6:30 am and a can of
Friskies Chicken at night around 10 pm. They have to be the Tender Morsels
cuts or they won't touch them, picky, picky, picky. Silly cats
They have 2 kinds of dry food out at all times, Friskies Indoor and Friskies
Feline Favorites, in seperate bowls. Mosey 'has' to have his canned on his
own plate (paper) and the other 3 share a plate. And fresh water out at
all times.
They are all indoor kitties.
Mosey always harks up the dry foods...he's always had a funny tummy and
hates it when I have to give him his daily TED prescribed Laxatone. I mix
it with his toofpaste, and give it to him by mouth with my finger.
I finally figured out why he peed on the bed...
I put the Laxatone on his foot once and he does NOT like to have his feet
touched.
Period.

Ours eat less dry food when it is warm in the house but they still
surround and destroy the gooshy breakfast. If a pride of lions can do
it in hundred-degree heat in the Serenghatti, so can they. Micki and
_I_ eat less when it is very hot in the house. Bear (d*g) eats less if
he has been reading a great deal or if Martians have landed in the
front yard.

My two eat a lot less on really hot/humid days (although its winter
here in Australia at the moment, so they sure as heck make up for it).

Yes, definitely. the Princess Rita had me very worried for a few days,
she ate so little, but then my friend pointed out how hot it was.
Doh! She ate better when it cooled down.
I do have A/C, but I hate cranking it up high. I keep it around 80,
which is fine for most of what I do.

Sort of- they eat less in the middle of the day because it's too hot
for them and they just want to find somewhere cool and snooze until it
gets cooler at which point they surface from wherever they're hiding
(Dave hasn't seen Sarrasine all day today and I haven;t seen her since
about 11) and make up for lost time. In cooler weather they come out
about midday for something

Oh, yeah. I feed mine dry food for their first meal (water added for
all of them that will eat it that way), and canned food for the second.
There's always dry food left when I don't think to feed them less
because it's hot.

LOL, mine put fuzzy pipe cleaners in their dry food dishes if they're empty.
Little sneaks.

"Granby"
Makes no difference here, only thing that causes a fuss is if the food
dish is empty.

Mine eat more more when it cools off too.
I have to keep the AC up or I'll melt.
