Default Catnapper Demands Ransom For Feline's Return (purr request)

Purrs that this Lady finds her cat or that someone else finds Buddy and
takes him in.

Cat Was In Truck When Thief Drove Off

SAN DIEGO -- A woman whose cat was in her SUV when it was stolen from an
East County gas station says the thief demanded $2,000 for the safe
return of the pet and her vehicle.

Angela Andre was driving her cat, Buddy, home to Poway from Shelter
Island on Saturday. She stopped for a drink at a gas station in El
Cajon, and while she was out of her Ford SUV, someone drove off in it,
according to El Cajon Police Department spokeswoman Monica Zeck.

Andre had left her cell phone in the SUV, so she sent a text message to
the phone, asking the thief to return the cat, Zeck said. The thief
responded, offering to return the cat and the SUV if Andre would pay a
$2,000 ransom. That was the last Andre heard from the thief.

Monday night, police recovered Andre's vehicle in El Cajon, but the cat
was missing. Andre is hoping that the thief dropped the cat off in its
pet carrier on the side of the road somewhere.

Police said Buddy is a gray cat with the tip of its right ear missing.
The cat may be in a medium-size pet carrier. Anyone with information on
Buddy's location is asked to call the El Cajon Police Department at
(619) 579-3311.

How sad, every cat owner's nightmare. Or one of them. I hope he is
found safe, poor little guy.

How sad and scary for poor Buddy! And for his human. I hope he'll be
recovered safely, and that the *&^% who abducted him didn't hurt him.
Wow... what an argument for locking one's car and always taking the keys
with you. Of course, Andre might have done this, and the thief just
hotwired the car.

Many, many purrs. Hopefully Buddy is unharmed, and someone finds him
in his carrier and takes him to a vet or humane society. I hope she
can contact all the societies and vets in the area who might have
Buddy.

Honestly I wouldn't be thinking TWICE about the car if one of my cats
was gone that way.

With any luck, the cat killed and ate the carnapper, and is even now
dragging his remains home, as a present to his meowmie (evil grin).

Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

Will purr hard for Buddy to return home safely. I hope the jackass who
stole the car stumbles and breaks his leg. MLB

Frankly, I hope the jackass goes to Hell, and finds a cat in charge of
it.
