Cat and turtle video - funny
This was posted on rpch+b, so some of you have already seen it. When I
sent the link to a friend of mine, she replied, "The Turtlenator!" Look upon the Turtlenator and Be Afraid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ul0gfCyeiyM (And check out how fast that thing can move!) Joyce |

That's one determined | turtle! And yes, it's zipping right along! Poor kitty! I like the soundtrack on that one. The turtle wanted to *eat* the tomato Of course cherry tomatoes are roly poly things, aren't they? I see he finally got his snack. Too cute! |

Here's another cute clip - no cat, but an adorable turtle (I love turtles): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_N_rjkdcKU I've never had a turtle, so I didn't realize how much they interacted with other animals. There's another video of a turtle and cat, where the turtle keeps trying to get the cat's attention. It keeps going up to the cat, raising itself on its hind legs, and stretching out its neck, as though going, "Yoo hoo! Talk to me!" The cat, meanwhile, is far more interested in something off-camera, and completely ignores the turtle, only occasionally brushing it away as a minor annoyance. I looked for it today on youtube, but couldn't find it. But the main thing I noticed, in both videos, is that the turtles seem very aware of the other animals in their environment and are trying hard to interact with them. Just something cool I didn't know about them, never having had one. Joyce |

That is the Sparrrtan Turtle, as opposed to the Lerver Turtle. Theresa Stinky Pictures: http://community.webshots.com/album/125591586JWEFwh Make Levees, Not War |

Theresa Stinky Pictures:http://community.webshots.com/album/125591586JWEFwh I've never seen a turtle *or* a cottontail so aggressive. Those are either just maverick, bad*ss critters, or they must be moms protecting their babies. Especially the bunny. I especially loved it at the end, when the snake had fled up the tree, and the bunny seemed so say, "And don't come back!" Sherry |

That's really interesting about bunnies! I don't know a whole lot about rabbits, just watch the ones that come into the back yard to eat what spills from the bird feeders. From my observation I thought their primary defense is being statue impersonators when they hear a weird noise. Sherry |
