Kittens?

I've been feeling sad and gloomy for nearly a week now. I need to see
or hear about kittens.

I can't go get a kitten. We are at our quota.

I'm not even hoping to get cheered up. Only maybe a bit hopeful that
at some time I won't feel so sad. Or to know that somewhere, someone
isn't feeling sad.

So anyone. New kittens? Old stories about kittens? Pictures of
kittens? Please?

I fostered some kittens over the summer. They were the littlest, sweetest
things I've found in a long time.

The first set were not all that keen about having a human to be their very
own for a while. It took me several days of feeding before one of them would
have much to do with me at all. But once they did, I had constant companions
when I went to the bathroom - which is where they lived. Eventually, they
were big enough that I let them out into the apartment with the big cats -
Mattie fell in lurve. She was so funny. She would bop them ever so lightly
and gently and she would rough house with them ever so gently. And she would
lick them all over until she was satisfied they were clean. She would even
curl up with them. And they obviously worshipped her. Ms. I am better than
the common cat turned into a regular cat because of those kittens. She lets
the other cats lick her and she curls up with them all because of those
kittens.

I saw some pretty cute kittens today. Every Sunday, a local feral cat
rescue group has a cat adoption in front of a pet store near my house.
I try to time my shopping trips so that I can go there on Sundays.

Today there were a couple of pretty tuxedo kittens, about 9-10 weeks
old, in one cage. There was a lovely black kitten maybe about 8 weeks
old. And there were 3 little kittens, probably not more than 6 weeks
old, still looking for a foster home. One was orange striped, but I
don't remember the other two because I was too busy looking at the
little orange guy.

Also - not a kitten, but still cute - there was a boy kitty there in
the style of Roxy, Caliban, etc, except he had one blue eye and one
green eye. He was gorgeous, friendly and playful. I hope he gets adopted
soon!

Eeeeeeeek! The mini-mooning Caliban!!! Possibly the cutest kitten ever!!

Ollie isn't really a kitten any more - big young cat - but his brain
hasn't always caught up. It was very cold last night, so as soon as
I made the bed this morning he borrowed under the bedspread and has
been there for three hours. All you can see is a football-sized
bump and the outline of his curly tail.
