There's a LUMP under my bedspread
Or duvet or whatever you want to call it... It's a bed cover.
Buffy has never been one to burrow under a bedspread or a blanket or a towel. Tonight, for some reason, there is a lump under my bedspread. Yep, Buffy is curled up underneath it, having a snooze. That's the second of a couple of "firsts" in the last few days. She used the litter box in front of me for the first time a couple of days ago. She's always been very shy about that. I can't help the way the house is laid out. The bathroom with my toilet and tub is the only place for her litter box. Generally she looks at it, then looks at me and sort of wishes me away so she can use the box in private. She's definitely starting to feel much more comfortable. Jill |

Boyfriend will *not* use it under any circumstances. So we've agreed that if he is pushed, he can use the bath. Not much else to do really, and I'd rather he used the bath than pooed on the carpets all over the house. He seems to have such an aversion to a litter box that he even pooed on his bed every day at the vet's rather than use the lb right next to him. I have no idea why. But I don't know his history. My best guess is that once he was a feral kitten, someone found him, adopted him and didn't get him neutered, which is how he came to me. It might explain how timid he is, but I really don't know. He did have a collar on, a nice one. but he was not microchipped. He is more than fond of dry food so maybe he got that "where he once was" but he went missing from wherever he lived and now he is MINE. It's their fault that they lost him, they didn't neuter him and he wandered away. He was sort of on his way to be a wandering tomcat impregnating every female he came across, but unfortunately he couldn't feed himself so Kitty FC took pity on him and brought him in ;-) Being a wandering tomcat was too much for him, he hasn't the temperament to be fighting all the time, plus he was clueless about hunting to find his own food. So I think he was quite relieved to be neutered and have his own home and bedroom and 3 meals a day. Tweed |
