Nanki-Poo's check-up
Nanki-Poo had his first visit to the oncologist since the radiation
treatments ended. The doctor said everything looks and feels good. He wants to see him again in one to three months - my option. He says I should check the area regularly for lumps, and bring him in sooner if I find any. Otherwise, I can wait as long as I feel comfortable, up to three months, before bringing him in again. Today he just did a visual and tactile exam. Next time he will do a chest x-ray as well. He said if everything still looks good in six months, the prognosis looks excellent. -- Joy Constant change is here to stay. |

That is wonderful news. You must be so relieved and happy. Nanki-Poo is happy about it, too, he just doesn't know it yet. But he will probably notice that you're not capturing him and taking him off you-know-where all the time. -- Joyce To email me, remove the triple-X from my user name. ^..^ |

Yes, I am extremely relieved and happy! That is compounded by the fact that on Friday I'm going to Alaska for 2 1/2 weeks. I feel much better about leaving him now. I'll be taking care of my sister's two Golden Retrievers while she and her husband celebrate her retirement with a trip to Greece. My next-door neighbors will look after Nanki-Poo while I'm gone.
