LOL at the graphic!

And praying and purring that Ivan does the least amount of damage
possible, wherever it lands. That entire region is so waterlogged from
previous storms, I cringe to think of Ivan arriving anywhere.

Purrs and prayers,

Donna and Harmony

Hurricane Ivan appears to be done with Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.
The latest forecast issued late Sunday afternoon has it turning north,
tracking across western Cuba, into the Gulf of Mexico, and making
landfall somewhere between New Orleans, Louisiana and Punta Gorda,
Florida.

OR it could continue moving west and hit Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula
(where Tropical Storm Warnings are currently out).

Ivan has a mind of his own.

Purrs to everyone in its path, wherever they may be.

Oh good grief.

Hurricane Ivan is now predicted to come ashore somewhere between New
Orleans, Louisiana and Panama City, Florida. Mobile, Alabama is right
in the middle of the forecast track.

Weather Channel experts are saying that if it comes in at Mobile,
there could be a 20-foot storm surge in the area - that is the water
in Mobile Bay would be 20 feet higher than normal. Obviously, SERIOUS
flooding. The surge in Panama City (in the "right front quadrant",
which is apparently where most damage occurs) would be on the order of
10-15 feet.

And now there's Tropical Storm Jeanne, heading straight for the
Bahamas...

The Atlantic Hurricane Season got off to a slow start, but has sure
been making up for it lately!
